Yes I definitely do have some other ideas that I want to get to. I have two in particular. One of them is more Theo specific than Thiam but the other is Thiam.

The first idea that I had was about a fic centered around Theo’s childhood. I had the idea to explore Theo’s parents having been hunters as well and had come to Beacon Hills to sell weapons illegally. The fic would go into Theo’s relationship with Scott and Stiles seeing as their parents are respectively the County Sheriff and an FBI Agent for Beacon County. The fic would focus on Theo’s parents making him use Scott and Stiles to get information on if the Police and FBI were tracking their gun sales. It would also lead to part of the reason that the Dread Doctors decided to take him in the first place. This would most likely be a longer fic if I were to do it.

The other idea that I had was a shorter (probably one-shot) fic idea. The plot would be that during a pack fight with a witch or Druid of some sort Theo and Malia or Scott got cursed. The idea works with either Scott or Malia getting cursed so I would just need to pick one lol. The curse would cause them to switch animals. So Theo would end up with just a single wolf or coyote in his head. And Scott or Malia would have to deal with having both a wolf and coyote in their heads.

This would be during like a spring break or something so the whole pack would be back in town and would have just found out about Theo and Liam being together. Which many of the older pack members would be concerned about. However with the events of this curse and seeing Liam and Theo together, they would eventually come to understand a little more. Maybe not fully accept, but understanding at the least.

I tend to get fanfic ideas that come and go as well. It really depends on my writing mood so I might get more ideas in the future. But these two are the main ones I keep coming back to.

This makes me sad for two reasons

I'm sad for myself, because you're essentially saying the poetry is soulless. Which is the worst thing it could be.

I'm sad that we're at a place creatively where people are looking for AI in the nooks and crannies of people's work, rather than focusing on the effort that's gone into it or the other feelings it could be stirring up. This isn't your fault, anon.

I guess it doesn't mean much, but I promise you not a drop of it is AI.

Please don't do this to anyone else. I can understand not liking it, that's ok. But this is something else entirely.

Go in peace, and I hope you are able to appreciate other people's work without being blighted by suspicion. If you look for darkness in everything, you'll miss out on all the light.

👓 What helps you focus when you write?

Sleep. Which is tough, as a mother of a two year old. I'm much brighter, more positive, and focused when i've managed to get a full night's sleep, but that rarely happens.

In place of sleep - I do writing sprints with friends, put on my playlist, sometimes have a long shower (why do ideas always arrive in the shower?), or flick through some of my favourite quotes/words i've collected.

💕 What is your favorite fic that you’ve written?

This is so difficult! I think it depends on the day.

It's a short one, and barely anyone read it on AO3 but I still really like 'Until We Wake' . I was practicing trying to be concise, and drop some of my usually overly-flowery style. I like how it came out.

🦋 Which character is your favorite to write?

UGHHH this is so hard to choose! Karlach probably, she's a great foil to Gale's verbosity and is able to cut through complex issues with a sincerity and bright clarity which others struggle with. It's fun to write.

41 - Comfort Food

It was early evening, and the fading sun cast the last of its light over a weary camp. Shadowheart, heavy with the loss of her parents, had left to gather herself at a nearby shrine. As Gale passed by her tent, he noticed a little bag of cinnamon buns placed just outside. A bag Lae’zel had been carrying earlier...

“Lae’zel!” he called, approaching the githyanki. “Have you been baking cinnamon buns?!”

She gave him a look that could freeze fire. “My hands are calloused from the grip of steel and the snapping of necks, Istik. They were not forged for the sprinkling of cinnamon” she hissed, turning her attention back to the ringing of steel against her grindstone.

Gale folded his arms and smirked until she raised her eyes to glare at him.

“They were taken from a cultist, and they provide no nutritional benefit. I have no use for such gluttony, so I may as well feed the cleric.”

“Right... and you had no idea they’re her favorite?” Gale could swear there was almost a tinge of pink warming the tips of her ears. Before Lae’zel could snap back, a sound of excitement rang out as Astarion entered his tent.

“Oooh, a fresh corpse! How delightful!”

Gale locked eyes with Lae’zel, and her lip twitched in a dare for him to say something.

“The cultist was unhappy about the loss of his buns,” she said nonchalantly. “And I do not approve of waste.”

I get where you're coming from with the fanfic thing, but there's a difference between playing around with canon and just not doing your research and being really lazy with characters people care about.

Ok, I get it. You're coming from a place of protection and trying to look after something important to you.

But, how do you know they haven't done their research? Maybe they just wanted to fuck about with the canon on purpose?

Or, God forbid, it may just not be brilliant writing? And guess what! That's fine too! They still had the courage and passion to create something they like and put it out into the world. If you don't like it, don't read. But, please don't criticise. Fanfic writers don't get paid, they do it because they love it. They will never get a chance to improve if that passion is taken away from them and they get dissuaded from writing, because somebody thinks they aren't sticking to the 'rules' well enough.

Maybe give writers a little bit of grace, and assume that what they have written is on purpose.

I guess, every piece of fanfiction is it's own AU? It is it's own little pocket universe that exists separately from the source material, and in that AU the writer is the creator and everything is canon, because it's theirs.

You protect the worlds and characters you care about by sharing them, and encouraging others to be part of it.

👻 What is your wildest headcanon?

Since yesterday it's that Emmrich has a solid gold Buttplug, but I don't think that's too wild actually.

I have lots of kinky headcanons about him leaning towards debauchery and over-indulgence, especially when he was younger.

@ollypopwrites wrote something in their fic about him getting a tattoo at a sex party and I was immediately like YES!

I also think his ambition and curiosity perhaps tilted him towards the darker arts at some point, but where Hezenkoss was lost to them he managed to overcome the temptation to explore it further.
