It was a line I'd heard in previous lives. The fate of the world was at stake. Life, liberty, and the Solarian way would fall if someone didn't act. There were many monsters in their world , hulking daemons prowling the night , an empire who lived on the innocent blood spilled — Prompto was no more a monster than the chocobos he so adored. He was brave , and he was kind, smarter than he gave himself credit for , a magnificent marksman , and he was one of the few things in Eos that was purely good. Prompto was irreplaceable , no matter where he came from or what anyone said.
“No you’re not —” and his voice leaves no room for argument. Even with the title KING, few moments existed when he could speak with absolute certainty. “ You’re YOU. My best friend , and one of the coolest guys I know. It doesn’t matter where you came from , you’re here now.”
Clasping him on the shoulder, he gives Prompto an assuring shake , joking smile concealing a softer message , it’s okay , we’re okay , you’re okay , —“ Besides even if you were a monster , I’d bet you be a cool one — totally top five. Can’t see anything wrong with that.”
