Her words rang against his ears. Though simple and almost full of anger, the hidden emotions behind them that he had yet to even ride trailed past his thoughts. Listening over and over again to the way his name fell off her lips as if it would be the last time he’d hear it. He always thought that way, laying his eyes on her and taking her beauty in all at once like it was the last time he’d see her.
He spent time away, away from everyone. Time to heal and recover, time meant to sleep in which he didn’t do. Sleep meant he’d dream of that night, that night only brought panic and disorientation during his ptsd episodes. The effects of wearing the ring of lucii was a harsh one especially for someone who held no royal blood in his veins. He knew the risk, but when death didn’t come it took his mind to deal with it all. He could tell, all in all she was happy, angry but happy he was alive. Nyx reached out taking one of the blonde’s hand pressing his lips to the back of it. How he wanted to touch her and hesitated before but jumped right to it. He spent months away just thinking about her. Spending another moment just starring at her would have just driven him crazy.
Perhaps the Oracle was acting a bit dramatic - nearly having a tantrum in front of Nyx. It wasn’t something that was new to him, surely she had acted out before when they spent those times together. The Glaive had clear motives on how to handle such situations. Deep blue hues only grew softer by each second, the anger that had built up exfoliating her body. Not angry at him, no never. Perhaps she had harbored feelings deep within her subconscious that didn’t currently make sense even to her. However, all that she could confirm currently was....how desperate she was to find him, craving to even just touch him one last time.
His soft voice and selected poor words (she didn’t expect any differently) vibrated her ears like a sweet tune her mother use to sing to her. His lips brushing against her hand, and all Luna could do was watch. Her body felt cemented - unable to move, convinced this was all just a dream. He was there, he was alive, and now Luna could be with him. It was selfish of her to think of that. Promised to another for the sake of Eos, Noctis was aware of her lack of affection towards him. It wasn’t the blonde’s fault, her heart felt heavy in so many ways that did not satisfy her. For a long time she was convinced by many that the young prince was her true love. Now she was not too sure.
She had hoped Nyx would survive, as Libertus had noted. Praying to the Astrals each night for him to inch his way to the kingdom of Lucis, but was never answered. So, Luna decided to venture herself - refusing to believe his death. Once he stood completely straight, her hand was still placed within his palm - a once warm familiar feeling in the Oracle that only craved her to reach out more. Never wanting to make an action that was risky, nor crossing the line, this one moment, Luna told herself to ignore that. Taking one step closer to his presence, they were almost chest to chest. Her right arm extended and with a very slow and gentle brush, she placed her palm against his cheek to feel nothing but his warm scruffy skin.
