All Hallows: History of Horror RE-EDITED
Hello folks! I decided to re-edit my original version of History Of Horror because I realized that the original concept was... a bit complicated. So I've simplified it to a museum celebrating Halloween's History and the facts behind our favourite monsters. Edit's include:
Switching to Roman instead of Greek because the Romans are kinda responsible for many of the apple-related games played on Halloween, plus it would be interesting to explore Roman myths.
Changing Movie Munchies to Prophecy Produce.
Altering the exhibits
This section of the park, found on the back corner of County Drakul, starts with the grand entrance to a large Victorian museum. The museum resembles a Roman temple on the outside with large banners stating “History of Horror” hanging from above.
Inside the doors, visitors find themselves in a large open main area with a large skeleton in the middle (what creature is the skeleton? no one knows but is resembles a dinosaur). Beyond that main area are several exits leading to the various exhibits within.
The exhibits in History of Horror include: Burial Customs (ride), Ancient Rome (ride), Phobias (attraction), Halloween Beliefs (attraction, cafe), Creepy Creatures (exhibit), Supernatural Monsters (exhibit), and Haunt Sweet Haunt (exhibit). Keep an eye out for easter eggs referring to other parts of the park.
The museum has only one curator, Dr. Bela Price, who went missing while working on his latest exhibit, Phobias. His main assistants, Rob Red, Izzy Imp, and Pat Peril are desperately trying to keep the museum running while also asking guests to keep an eye out for any evidence of him. Luckily, there are several hidden journal pages and news articles throughout the museum that tell Dr. Price’s story; how he had been investigating the Roman god of fear Terror and believes that this god will finally answer his curiousities about Halloween and horror.
Aside from those characters, the only other big character introduced is Priest Hakar, an ancient Egyptian mummy who will make a mummy out of you if you aren't careful!.
Nightmare of The Mummy: A haunt maze entered off the Burial Customs exhibit, you find yourself traversing through an Egyptian booby trapped burial chamber while avoiding the mad mummy Hakar and his mummified priests!
The Revenge Of Cacus: A shooter dark ride (ideally trackless) through ancient Rome. The fire-breathing giant Cacus has returned as a lemure; a vengfall spirit; to destroy the Roman Empire and only you and a set of special weapons gifted by Vulcan the Fire God can stop him and his army of undead monsters!
Behind the Terror: A virtual test tour of the yet to be opened Phobia exhibit goes haywire when Terror takes over the program and sends you through a series of nightmares before Dr. Price, who was tricked and trapped in the machine by Terror, finds a way to return you back to the real world!
Figure I give this it's own catagory. Most of the exhibits are simple with no real artifacts, but they offer fun facts and information for those curious about the creepy things in life
Creepy Creatures: An exhibit featuring many of the real-life creatures celebrated on Halloween including rats, bats (in their own dark room), spiders and other bugs, and even a room full of black cats to pet!
Supernatural Monsters: Ever wonder where the myths of vampires, zombies, and werewolves really came from? Well this exhibit teaches you all the historical context behind our favourite monsters, from the criminal that inspired Jekyll and Hyde to the infamous witch trials!
Haunt Sweet Haunt: A look at haunted locations around the world, both actually haunted places and famous Halloween haunt attractions as well as tips and trick to create your own haunt!
Burial Customs: An exhibit of the various customs around the world for letting the dead "rest in peace".
Halloween Beliefs: A brief history of Halloween as a holiday.
Ancient Rome: An exhibit highlighting the supernatural beliefs of Romans and the autumn harvest festival celebrating the goddess Pomona, from which many traditional Halloween games originate from.
A Dress in Time: History of Horror’s costume shop, this shop contains ancient history costumes particularly of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome.
Renaissance Refreshments: A small café selling basic sandwiches and drinks surrounded by art pieces. If you look closely, the art may subtly change.
Prophecy Produce: A food stand in Halloween Beliefs that sells foods accociated with divination and predictions. There's also a demostration area where you can play traditional Halloween games like apple bobbing, snap apple, and pulling the kale as well as learn about different Halloween divination practices.
Museum Gift Shop: Possibly the most ordinary-looking shop in All Hallows, this basic gift shop sells all forms of historical souvenirs, from books to toys to knick-knacks.
