⭐️ Friendship fact about an OC of your choice
Rea and Avery are circle mages and they have been best friends since childhood. The “problem” with their friendship is that Rea is the loud, strong, stubborn one, and Avery is a sneaky little shit that support her from the background and kinda uses her as a shield against the enchanters who want to punish someone for the latest misadventure.
I updated my OC page, added Rea to my list of fictional children :) And I’ve created a face for Avery, her best friend from the circle. She’s loud and bossy, he’s a sneaky bastard, you can imagine how much the enchanters loved this duo :D
Also, if their faces are a little familiar to some of you, my beloved Hungarian followers, semmiért sem vállalok felelősséget :D
Rea Trevelyan :))
2 Kings 2; 1 Peter 4; Matthew 10:27; Psalm 119; Job 1:21; Proverbs 3:5-6.
Lyrics: I looked up then saw Your chariots and horses of fire take him away. I cried for my father. Before he left, I asked for twice his spirit, for I knew I was about to walk alone. And those prophets kept on asking me if i knew, Lord, that today You'd take away my dearest friend. I said I knew and told them so: they ought to be quiet. I know You will be with me until the end. Oh, to walk through the storm without giving way to fear. Oh, to rest my heart, my Savior being near. I tore my robes in my sorrow, and took up his cloak to be my own. You're my strength and my portion; I will never be alone.
What You've said in the light, I will sing out in the darkness. In Your word is my delight; I am anchored to Your promise. // When i'm found in the death of my wits, let Your wisdom come alive. When You give and when You take away, let Your name--let Your name be glorified! ----
God's word is always timely. His words for me last Saturday was in 2 Kings 2. I read it alongside Sir Oswald Chambers' reflections in his book My Utmost for His Highest.
As I sense so many changes happening and my discipler's and my parents' impending departures to other fields, I am met by sorrow and uncertainty. These events only remind me of how uncertain and changing everything is, except God. He has shown Himself faithful forever. I will count on Him. I will remember His goodness. I love how Ravi Zacharias put it: "He alone is the perpetual novelty." In Him, the broken is made whole. He is the inexhaustible cause of great rejoicing. :)
Apparently, the words in my lyrics are not exactly the words of the prophet Elisha himself. After I wrote this song, I was amused to find that Elisha's name actually means "God is my salvation," which is the very heart of the song.
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging." --Psalm 46:1-3
May we make Him, the solid Rock, our permanent address. :)
