I was talking with this girl in my history class and i went “oh yeah, isnt it international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people?”

she kinda looked confused and asked “how did you know I’m Palestinian?” So i explained she mentioned it a couple weeks back. I mentioned her bracelets and how i liked them (they were bracelets saying her support of palestine) and she said how she couldn’t wear her broach because of threats she was getting.

She seemed extremely fucking happy to be able to talk abt this, so i let her talk as much as she wanted to, pitching in once in a while to get a response of “EXACTLY!”

she told me how happy she was to be able to find someone agreeing with her, and when i asked how no one else had, she said everyone either wasn’t speaking up or was pro-israel.

This is the fucking bare minimum!! And she hadn’t found ANYONE to talk to.

Talk to people you know!! She looked so relieved at someone LISTENING TO HER!! She has family IN GAZA RIGHT NOW that have been shot, and cousins killed in the 2000’s. Her whole family is in gaza. We can’t even drive and she’s going through this godawful shit without people at school to talk to!! It’s the bare fucking minimum. It is the bare. Fucking. Minimum.

Reach out. REACH OUT. It will mean the world to someone, I promise you. we talked for maybe 7 minutes, and it seemed to make her so goddamn happy!! Talk about it!! They can’t know you care if you don’t SHOW you care.

A way to help people in the Ukraine from QT.

So we feel helpless. Going about our daily lives while those who are fighting for their country become refugees and lose their lives. People are going there to fight, people are donating and I saw something that I thought would be great to share because it is another easy way to help.

Day 61 - reaching out.

So as you already know, I run two self help blogs. One of which has more followers than the other. I wasn't sure if I was reaching people through my blogs, I mean I only have 12 followers on the one and 7 on the other right now so I really didn't think too much into it. I post to my blogs regularly, regardless of the followers because it makes me feel good knowing that maybe someone can read a post and it can turn their day around. I was never expecting people to actually pay attention to my posts and appreciate them but the past few days...my view of my blogs importance has changed. I have received a couple messages from people who read my blogs, asking questions and stating their problems, needing advice and I was so glad to see that my words were helping people. That people...strangers...wanted my help. It was a great feeling. Then, I got an email from someone who is a follower of one of my blogs, asking for some guidance and a friend...it literally put the biggest smile on my face and I have never felt that before. It is an incredible feeling knowing that someone I have never met before is willing to come to me for help. It makes my heart warm and assures me that my words are important and they can help people. 

My little message to you readers is that you take the time to reach out to someone in need because it is the greatest feeling to know that you made someone smile and helped someone with a problem they were having. Be the friend that they don't have. If you need help yourself, take a chance and reach out to someone for help. A friend, a teacher, a stranger even, and ask for some guidance. Ask for a friend.
