I've decided to cheat in the game and not only am I sharing more than one line of text here, it's also not the last, nor was it even the one where I last left off. This passage is just my favourite in this wip so far, even if it hasn't gone through countless iterations and thus isn't yet perfect. Regardless, here goes!
He wanted to plant the words inside his heart and nurture them until their roots would keep his heart and soul from coming apart. âYeah,â he breathed out, and wondered briefly if he'd ever had any real ability to cultivate good, pure, beautiful things. Such as hope. Certainly not recently - though, he unarguably also lacked the skills necessary to kill the such.
