Hi, so I've gotten my nose pierced twice: the first with a gun (resulted in a keloid) and the second with a needle at a professional place by a proper piercer (again resulted in a keloid). I got a gold hoop as well. I tried the tea tree oil by dabbing it around my piercing and dunked my nose in sea salt+water. As soon as I took out the hoop the bump went away. I want to get it pierced again but dont know what to do.. help!!

Ok, so next time you do it (IF you do it), try the titanium hoop instead. Though rare, it's possible that you might have been allergic to the gold material. That, or the gold was mixed with something else, and therefore wasn't pure. Try to only touch it when cleaning it. If you still end up with another keloid, you might be one of those people that just can't do nose piercings. It happens.

At the very least, you could always just get a clip-on or spring back nose hoop, so you'll have the look without the complications. ;)
