Just finished Ninth Rain yesterday afternoon and I need to say something.

This book is sooooo good, but I also got a very subtle vibes of Witchlands by @stdennard . Now, I don’t know if @sennydreadful has read those books but I have to make some parallels for y’all.

Witch from a nomadic people group and is exiled from her people because of an incident: Iseult and Noon.

Guy with big ego and hates that he’s crushing on said witch: Tor and Aeduan.

Mountain bats: Blueberry and Fulcor

Evil people who are returning from the past: Jure’lia and the Paladin

Starving, dying country that needs help: Ebora and Nubrevna

Witch who hears someone inside her head: Noon and Iseult

Noble woman that is trying to help but making everything worse: Safi and Hestillion

All I’m saying is that if you want to read a fantasy series that is like Witchlands or that is like Winnowing Flame, then this one just might be for you!

Could you please recommend a few fic in Batfam.. I loved Tim centric, Batfam centric genre where they confront their issues, also the one where Bruce is not batman but his kids are vigilantes and try to hide from him, ...Please recommend some wholesome content?

Abandoned, But Not Forgotten - Cdelphiki okay, i think this is just a really nice fic about bruce rescuing tim from a kidnapping and them having a nice little chat

I Used to Be an Adventurer Like You, Then I Took an Arrow to the Knee - audreycritter can't recommend this enough! it's steph & bruce centric and theyre the fucking best, they do time travel! it's so cool, please just go read it

Have I Told You About Minnie? - Hinn_Raven okay so maybe i've been on a stephanie brown kick, but she's awesome and i love her. this is about bruce as matches malone bragging about his family to a gang of assorted criminals

For the City Sweetly Whispers - Drag0nst0rm gotham talks now and she's a bitch. no i'm serious, gotham talks. this is such a great fic and i need you all to go read it right fucking now

Running Headlong Into My Arms - gleesquid hey batarangsoundsdumb, how often have you read this fic? you ask. at least 10 times, i answer. isn't it 60.000 words long? you ask. yes it is. i answer. it's a no capes au! and bruce still gets his kids!

Live While I Breathe - Batbirdies bruce wayne get therapy challenge 2k21, but he actually does it (thanks to stephanie)

thin mints - AlmondRose i don't know what girl scout cookies are and at this point i'm too afraid to ask, but this is really cute so please read about steph selling girl scout cookies to some rich bitches (including our resident fave rich bitches)

Like a Thief in the Night - Cdelphiki jason gets real clingy and bruce gets real concerned

one shot, two shots in the night - discowing bruce writes a memoir and i cry, because it's so fucking sweet. i think ive read this at least 9 times in the past 2 years and i still enjoy it so much.

Anti-Social - Unpretty (very mobile unfriendly, so read it on desktop) it's some snapshots from tim's life through social media and it's the fucking best!

Things My Heart Used To Know - poisonivory I can't recommend this enough! it's jayroy, no capes, and it's based off of disney's musical anastasia. it's really well written and super interesting and i love it.

And Other Hazard of Heroism - Kieron_0Duibhir bruce has a concussion and calls his best pal, superman. it's hilarious and amazing, show stopping, spectacular, fantastic, never done before, (i'll stop listing shit and let you read it now :) )

Help - Loxare the accidental child acquisition trope, but it's just a bunch of children taking one look at known crime lord red hood and thinking 'yeah he's our big brother now'

Hi hi hi obviously you love the a Addicted series and I've seen so much about it around Tumblr and stuff but I'm on the fence about reading it and wondered if you could give me a few reasons on why to read it and your favourite parts and things? :)

Well before reading it make sure you’re okay with explicit sex scenes, as the books have a lot of mature content! (they’re new adult rather than ya)

The best part of these books is hands down the relationships. And i don’t just mean the romantic ones (even though they are amazing) but the familial and platonic ones. These books have the best build up of relationships. These six main characters are so far apart at the start of the books and you get to be a part of them growing closer together, loving each other more and more, until they have some of the strongest relationships i’ve ever read. The calloway sisters are amazing, the way they look out for each other and always have each others backs. One of my favourite relationships from these books is between ryke and lo (it will slowly destroy you) and also ryke and connor.

An important part of these books is characters struggling with addictions and mental illness. I love how they don’t sugarcoat anything and how it isn’t always a straight road to recovery. I was so attached to the characters that when something bad happened to them, it really hit hard.

The characters are so different, but you will end up loving each and every one of them so much. They are all really well written and 3-dimensional characters, it’s like they are real people.

also amazing character development!!! feminist characters!!!! exploration of slut shaming!!! discussion around sexual identities (fuel the fire)!!! women supporting women!!! male characters who are non-stereotypical!!! (and aren’t ashamed to talk about feelings or cry) just everyone unconditionally loving and supporting each other no matter what
