okay i know it’s 3AM (don’t @ me i sleep late even knowing i have to work the next day) but i finished Hunted an hour ago and yes Yeva is a goddamn idiot who couldn’t put two and two together, but Beauty & the Beast retellings are literally my biggest weakness and if there’s even the slightest hint of one in any book i automatically love it. Yeva was a dumb little shit and i was constantly astounded by how stupid she could be sometimes lmao girl context clues... and this is a hella predictable and also extremely slow book but i loved it anyway. i find comfort in predictability lmao. i am a SUCKER for the in between moments where the two come to rely on each other’s companionship but afraid to say out loud for fear of it being true!! the denial! and acceptance then the “oh shit” moment. i love this formula i will always love it.
this book has both good and bad things in it and it’s not perfect but yes i love it lmao
also what is with B&tB retellings that get so fucking weird before the happily ever after? i should explore that... in a future post...
