“(Y/N)...you’re doing it again.” The words broke you out of your trance and you turned to see Jerry Lawler gazing at you his eyebrows furrowed with a look of concern. You looked down and saw indeed that your leg was rapidly bouncing. “Sorry.” You said with an apologetic smile. “Alright guys 10 seconds!” A producer said. You were sitting next to the great Jerry Lawler with his co announcers on RAW, Dio Madden and Vic Joseph. Your brother, Ricochet was a member of Team Hogan and his opponent, Drew McIntyre was apart of Team Flair. They had a match tonight and you had been asked to commentate on the match with the men you were now sitting beside. “We’re back!” A voice yelled. You waited patiently as they did the introductions, watching from the commentary table as the two legends, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan, argued in the ring. Then Hogan signaled and the fun began. “And with us is a special guest, (Y/N) (Y/W/N) with us tonight to commentate this next match. Welcome (Y/N).” Jerry said. You smiled. “Thank you Jerry it’s an honor to be here tonight. And I—.” ‘One and Only…..’ Just as you started to speak you were interrupted by the familiar tune of your brothers theme. Smoke began to fill the stage and you couldn’t help but smile at your older brother as he appeared on the stage, the roar of the crowd increasing almost immediately. As you watched him do his act you clapped and gave a whoop. “For those who may not know, Ricochet is the older brother of (Y/N).” Ricochet spotted you and smiled and quickly jogged over and gave you a hug. The crowd went wild, and as you wrapped your arms around him you whispered in his ear, “Go get em!” As he pulled away he winked at you before heading down to the ring with you clapping your hands. Sitting back down you gazed at the men beside you. “Sorry about that guys.” “No need to apologize.” Said Dio. “As I was saying before, I am really happy to be here to commentate on my brothers match and not only that but to support him. Ever since Hogan asked him to join his team, I seen a fire in Ricochet that I’ve never seen before and I’ve watched Hogan take my brother under his wing and it's just amazing. He is so ready and focused tonight guys!” Just then you heard another familiar tune as the arena went quite dark with the dark blue tinge of Drew McIntyre's theme. “And McIntyre returned just last week defeating Ricochet last week.” You inhaled sharply but didn’t say anything as you watched the Scottish man stalk down the ramp towards the ring. You listened quietly watching as your brother and his opponent stared each other down. Then Ricochet flew across the ring and through the ropes toppling Drew over and beginning the match. You as well as the three men beside you let out a cry of surprise as you watched your brother. “Well you were right (Y/N), Ricochet is focused on Drew McIntyre! Had him right between his sights!” And the match began officially. Your brother came out flying with force and energy sending Drew on the defensive almost immediately. You would give a word or two here or there trying to converse with the three men beside you however you were more focused on your brother. He had injured his ribs recently and it concerned you and you were watching for any signs of the injury worsening over the match. Once again Ricochet sent McIntyre flying out of the ring again. It was amazing. “This is what I was talking about before gentleman. Ricochet with the help of Hulk Hogan and his fellow teammates has blossomed and improved immensely.” Just as Vic was about to reply Ricochet flew across the ring and flew over the top rope and slammed into Drew again knocking him off his feet once more. Once again the four of you at the table let out another impressed whoa! “Let’s go Ricochet!” You said loudly cheering on your brother. “Oh no. But look at that he’s got that Kinesio tape on the ribs and clearly on that last fly he hit them. ” You looked and indeed saw your brother was clutching at his ribs. You stood up out of your chair a few inches trying to get a better look but saw he was up once more, Drew still splayed out on the floor. You sat down and gazed into the monitor on the table and saw the look of pain on your brothers face. “Probably from last week, the results from the assault from Drew McIntyre.” “And you know why they keep attacking him? Because they fear him. They know how talented his is and that he could easily win this and the only way they feel safe is to constantly attack my brother. It’s despicable.” You hissed. A few moments later your brother was on the outside of the ring with Drew on the inside. Just as Ricochet went up to the top rope to fall on the larger man once more Drew caught him by the throat sending him off balance and causing him to land on the ropes directly on his ribs. You let out a gasp as you watched another look of pain cross Ricochet’s face as he fell off the ropes, falling hard onto the rings edge and out onto the floor. You jumped up nearly yanking the headset you had on off and Jerry had to put a hand on your arm to stop you. Drew hopped out of the ring and sent a boot right into the ribs of your brother. You winced almost feeling that one. “I spoke to Drew McIntyre and he told me to—look again, impact directly on the ribs—and that’s what Drew intends to target.” Dio said as they played a replay of the last move. Now you saw Drew was picking up momentum. He began to throw your brother around the ring mercilessly and you felt your blood turn cold. You could barely listen as the other men described the horrible things Drew was doing to your brother in detail. “I’m sorry guys I can’t. With all due respect please excuse me.” You said standing up and taking your headset off to the shock and confusion of Dio, Vic and Jerry. You then proceeded to walk towards the ring, the crowd spotting you and cheering loudly. Walking around the ring you approached Hulk who spotted you and opened his arms. You gave him a quick hug before turning to the ring. By now your brother and Drew were both back in the ring. “Come on Ricochet!” You screamed and saw your brother turn at the sound of your voice and saw a small smile appeared on his lips. However it was quickly replaced with a grimace as Drew sent another kick at his ribs. Again and again he kept going at his ribs, each time making you wince or clench your teeth. Hogan had his arm around your shoulders as you two stood together. He could feel you tense up every time and he gave your shoulder a quick reassuring squeeze. “Let’s go Ricochet! Come on brother!” He shouted. Drew grabbed your brother heaving him to his feet before pushing him into the turnbuckles and then pulling him forward and throwing Ricochet over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. You let out a cry of alarm as you saw Ricochet fly high into the air before landing on his back, and arching it as pain undoubtedly swept through his whole body. As he tried to get to his feet you watched as Drew stalked Ricochet every step of the way waiting like a lion about to pounce. Then seemingly impatient Drew pulled your brother up to his feet and Ricochet was able to get a rib shot of his own in before Drew pushed him slightly and gave him the hardest slap to the face you had ever seen. The sound of the impact was like a gunshot going off. You let out a loud scream of shock as you watched Ricochet go down hard as he crumpled to the floor. Your chest was tight as you saw Ricochet laying on the ring floor limp and lifeless and Drew towered over him, stalking him, watching him as the ref checked on the smaller man. Just then Drew turned towards you and Hulk and he seemed to notice you for the first time. Your eyes met and Drew gave you the most unsettling smile. He then turned to Hogan and raised his arm and pointed to him. This set Hogan off and he signaled to Drew, challengingly as if to say “Come on! Let’s go!” At this point you were a wreck. It has been a while since your brother had made a move. You watched as once again Drew roughly handled his much smaller opponent and got ready to toy with him some more. Only that’s when Ricochet slapped Drew. The sound of it echoed around the arena and within seconds you could see a red welt beginning to form on Drews cheek. It was then followed up by a chop to a shocked faced Drew who was sent stumbling back. You banged the edge of the ring with a hand. “That’s it Ric-o!” You yelled calling your brother by his nickname. Just as it seemed things were turning Drew send a boot straight to Ricochets face sending him to the mat easily following it with was was clearly an imitation of Hulk Hogan’s leg drop. With surprising speed Drew exited the ring on your side and locked eyes on Hogan. However you were between the two men. You felt a hand on your arm and looked to see Hogan had grabbed you as Drew began to advance towards you both. Pulling you back towards him, Hogan pushed you behind him, putting himself between you and Drew. But Drew didn’t care about you. He was only focused on Hulk. Moments later the men began shouting at each other, the veins in their necks bulging. The ref came flying over and started shouting at Drew and Hogan to break it up and demanding Drew to get back in the ring but both men ignored him. Without taking his eyes off Hogan Drew stepped back into the ring with a final shout of “Crown Jewel!” You watched as the onslaught to your brothers ribs continued and you could barely watch. You had never seen such brutality then when Drew McIntyre fought. He was ruthless and didn’t hold back, resulting in many times injuries to his opponents. Again and again you saw Drew throw your brother again and again. Your knuckles were white and the only thing that was holding you back from interfering was Hulk’s hand on your shoulder. At this point you realized that Drew could have ended this match long ago. He was breaking Ricochet down and trying to get him as injured and sore as possible. He was using your brother like a toy. For every punch or defensive move your brother, Drew followed up with one that was twice as powerful and twice as damaging. Ricochet had always been too by the book for your taste at times and you silently wished he would play dirty just a bit. He honestly had good cause to but knowing your brother you knew he would never do it. Hope was brought back to you as you watched as Drew threw Ricochet who using his agility hopped over Drew, rolling off the larger mans back and using the ropes as momentum avoided another strike from the larger man jumped and performed a beautifully executed Huricana that sent Drew down. The crowd went nuts. Springing off the ropes, he was caught by Drew and you groaned. As Drew was about to throw him, Ricochet somehow got out of the man’s grasp and landed neatly on his feet, before going for the ropes again but Drew had learned the first time and countered it, throwing him easily over his shoulder, causing Ricochet to lose focus and free fall to the ring floor landing harshly on his back. You winced and shut your eyes as you heard the impact of your brothers body onto the ring floor. The match seemed to go on on on. It felt like you had been here for hours watching the two men go at it. Your legs were shaking, your hands were numb and your throat was dry. However things started to turn around. Ricochet seemed to realize that slowly with every punch Drew was weakening. He had constantly been throwing shots, using up his energy. Even though he was in pain Ricochet still had something left in his tank. At last Ricochet seemed to get the upper hand. Drew was on the ground limp. At this point he had been taking hit after hit from your brother and it seemed like the match was to end. You watched as your brother went to the top rope. You were on the side of the ring cheering and watched as your brother stood up, balancing on the top rope. That’s when you hear cries of alarm to the left of you. Turning you caught sight of Randy Orton hoping over the barricade. You saw he had eyes on Ricochet, an evil smile on his face. Your stomach dropped. “NO!” You hopped up onto the apron before anyone could do anything and darted into the ring just as Ricochet jumped. As he spun in the air you ran into the middle of the ring narrowly missing your brother as he rolled out of the move to the other side of the ring. He didn’t see you at first, he was moving so fast and began to head right towards Drew. You saw Randy coming up the opposite side of the ring and come flying in, heading straight for Ricochet, charging, full speed at your brother. You had no chance. The last thing you see as you push your brother out of the way was the confused and puzzled look on his face as he stumbled backwards. Randy at this point wasn’t able to stop as he was already airborne. You felt his hands on your neck, heard the crowds screams and felt your whole body erupt in pain. Then everything went black.
