This is probably off topic but you know in finding Nemo with the seagulls saying "mine" over and over again. If reader is half mer than she can understand them probably.bI just thought how funny it would be to deal with that on a daily basis.

Oh yeah! This has already been established in a previous post but Reader can understand marine life and really anything from or around the sea. Not all animals are smart enough to communicate but a lot of them are. They could defiently hear seagulls when they caw though I'm not sure about a lot of other birds as they'd have to be water/sea based. :)

Their used to hearing animals talking so they can block it out if they need too. It can get quit noisy hearing all these different conversations/words being thrown indirectly at you, so it's something Reader would have to focus on to really hear. Most of the time it's background noise unless their really paying attention.

The Reader is a half mer.

The blogs name is half-mer-child because the reader is a half mer. They can breathe under water and have some abilities because they're half mer :)

Their adopted dad Ratchet works with them at a new facility.

Is reader popular with sea creatures like dolphins and sharks?

Yes. Sea animals find her strange but like that she understands them. They have an aquarium at the facility as well as the mers so Reader puts on the best animal shows cause the animals just know what to do instead of having to be taught all these complex human hand signals reader can just explain directions in their language. Fellow employees always laugh when they see her talking to the fish. Funny part is usually readers bitching about her co workers. XD

Is reader strong? How much can he even lift?

Very. Being halfmer comes with some perks after all, strength is one of them. Mers are stronger than humans because their mostly just muscle or string pudge reader could lift 500 at age six so she can lift quit a lot. Mostly it just depends though. They’ll use it when they need ot but say they get an adrenaline rush and there’s a dying beached whale suddenly there pushing that two ton flubber back into the ocean. Being half mer has it’s benefits.

Getaway learns of readers healing kiss and decides to make out with them to see if he can max out it's powers. And when I say make out I mean tongue in mouth, the whole shebang.

Getaway is a fucking dweeb who would totally do this because One. Readers hot. All of you are amazing Two. His dream come true right there Three. Rodimus would be so jealous!!!

Learning about my power was hard. Excepting the new powers was harder. Mers wanting me to kiss their small scrapes and bruises away was bearable. But Getaway sticking his tongue down my throat. That was the weirdest thing I’d experienced that week. Letting him finish when he pulled away gasping for breath wandering what the hell that was about I looked at him waiting. He walked away smile on his face as his bruise disappeared. He hated how fragile human skin could be. “Getaway you can’t just use my powers for stupid things you coward!”
