Welcome to Persie's first ever event because nostalgia is a bitch and I was going through old writings for 1D ( am I dating myself? ). Some of the old writings were for events where prompts were given and claimed and I started to miss those kind of events, so that's what I'm opening up for you lovelies!
I remember these being super fun and giving everyone a sense of community, so I hope I can get some of it back as I've been loving the little community built on Vee's Deepspace Orbit server.
It's been nice to comment and share things with friends and get feedback. So why not bring another part of old fandom life back?
And of course, what is an event without an overall theme? To keep things easy, this theme will be very simple and open:
That coffeeshop au you had in mind? Those cheesy but beloved first meetings? ONLY ONE BED? Or you're going with something darker and dead dove and doing the true and tried yandere route. Or maybe a mix and match?
Whatever it is, those settings, themes and scenes are adored and loved by many. Written and rewritten countless of times because they are just that enjoyable, scratching a specific itch sometimes we didn't even know we had.
Your prompt must contain a cliche/trope, but you can be as specific or as vague as you wish.
Now, for the less fun stuff but still very needed. This will be the schedule for this event!
From January 1st to January 14th, you may submit your prompts. As many as you want, how many times you want. They may be picked up or they may not be picked up.
On January 8th, I will start releasing the prompts in batches.
Which means that from January 8th to January 21st, prompts may be picked up to start being worked on. Once a prompt is picked, it will be out of the run and taken by the writer that chose them. You can claim a prompt by either replying to this post, or sending me an ask/im.
Specific writing time will happen from January 8th ( once prompt picking begins ) to March 8th. Once you're done with your piece, I ask that you hold on to it until March 9th so pieces can start being published at the same time!
Publishing time will happen between March 9th and March 15th, once that date passes, your fic isn't officially part of the event. But that doesn't mean you can't publish it afterwards! Please do, and feel free to tag me and I'll reblog it under the lovely add-ons tag.
