Reading Journal: March 2019 Set Up

Ahhh, I can’t believe it’s already March! Where has the time gone?! 

Here is my set up for the month! I really liked how I did the calendar for February so I decided to do the same thing this month. One thing I did change, however, was making my daily pages tracker a little bit bigger so that I can track a higher number of pages each day. We’ll see if it ends up being enough!

I’m starting a reading journal for 2022! I didn’t read anything in January because I was so burnt out from finishing my english lit degree, but I’m getting excited to get back into reading already

APRIL 2019 WRAP UP

Reading The Priory of the Orange Tree took up a huge chunk of my reading time this past month so I barely read anything else throughout the month. I binged on a shit ton of contemporary fiction afterward because they’re usually light and fluffy, and super easy to get through. And then I ended the month with a historical fiction/magical realism type book that was a bit of a dud. I didn’t even get to mark off anything from my Book Bingo card and I’ve been doing so good with that, too. Needless to say, April kinda sucked for reading for me.

BUT! May kicks off #asianreadathon hosted by @readwithcindy​ which I am SUPER excited to do! I’ve pulled every book written by an Asian author off my shelves and holy shit, there was a lot! Way more than I can read in a month, but I’m totally making it an Asian month of reading despite what my my ‘official’ TBR says.

Reading Journal

So I bought a leuchtturm1917 and it should be here today. I'm so excited because that means I get to start my reading journal! I like tracking my reading on goodreads and I even have a spreadsheet to track all my reading stats (author gender, year published, format etc.), but there's just something about a handwritten journal that really appeals to me.

Basically my plan is to modify bullet journal spreads (modules?) to fit with what I want to track for reading. I'm most looking forward to having a place to write down all my thoughts while reading a book so that I can look back on it years later. I think this will help me remember the plots of the books I read too (I tend to have difficulty with that)

Anyway, just thought I'd update you and kind of warn you that I'll be posting my spreads on here. So look out for that if you're interested!

June bujo reading challenge spread!

I am sparing us all my calendar and note page since they are the same as every other months just with different colours

So here is my reading spread for June! Main challenge is Mets du bleu sur ta PAL which is a reading challenge to read more books from Quebec authors. This year theme is to read theatre books which is shown in the first table.

The bottom half is a old Mets du bleu sur ta PAL which was to read one book from each region. This might become a yearly challenge to be frank just not decided yet on it...

Also, I haven't done a specific spread yet, but I would love to explore the Quebec queer lit as we seem to have a rise in queer rep in books since last year. (Pour les gens du Québec, si je le fais, est-ce qu'un récap des livres trouvés vous intéresserait?)
