Writer's Notebook Assignment- Entry #1
Which research piece would I like to borrow a strategy (for research or writing) from, and why?
Out of all the articles we read, from cadavers, to ketchup, CSI, and the dangers of being a pedestrian, I found the most successful writing was in the pedestrian and ketchup article. Both of these have a really great narrative going on beneath the research itself. It paints a picture of the protagonist and makes you feel really invested. Particularly the pedestrian article. This could be because I am a side-walker myself and experience these same incidences every day. What I also liked about this article was the ending. The story and facts are presented and the writer gives solutions to the problem.
