Today’s pleasant surprise: I woke up with heavy, heavy blues for absolutely no reason, which is always the worst, because they mock you while you’re doing things that you would otherwise enjoy just fine. Fate/existence/higher power stepped in to banish the blues, however, when I won a raffle and got to pick a prize from a pile—which is how I wound up with this brand-new Blu-ray of the Sparks Brothers documentary that I’ve been wanting to see since it came out last Spring. I would be the first to say that “stuff” does not fill a hole in your soul, but I will also note that a gentle pat on the head from Beyond should always be recognized and accepted with gratitude.
