So tired, had a long but productive day at Readipop! :P
My first time interviewing musicians with Readipop went well, especially when they do most of the talking! lol :)
Been quite busy this week
with guest presenting a uni radio show on Tuesday with my friend who's still at uni. Did some Christmas shopping on Wednesday afternoon then volunteering for Comedy and Curry night at the Shehnai, taking orders for wine even though a few customers were a bit fussy with the wine display and wanted something else lol. Lucy Beaumont, Tom Goodliffe and Ray Peacock (Who stole the show!) were performing that night. Then volunteering at Readipop on Thursday and did my 2 hour driving lesson today instead of an hour's lesson,which felt a bit too much so I'm doing an hour and a half next week instead lol
After helping hand out Readipop brochures, I know how it feels to be a Big Issue seller lol the feeling of rejectment and actually being able to give something away mixed together! But it was great to be involved helping out :)
It's been a strange day
I finally managed to have a shower after being in my dressing gown for most of the day because we're having a new sink fitted into the kitchen so the water supply had to be turned off. But then it came back on for a bit when the guy installing the sink needed to get some suppiles. Every time he'd go out I would come down and have some food to avoid him seeing me in my dressing gown lol Things being turned off and eating food in my dressing gown in the afternoon. It's times like these I feel like I'm back at uni.
I also got some good news as I got a phone call about being involved in a music and arts charity based in Reading called Readipop, who do a workshop every Thursday 4.30-7.00pm. At least it's something to keep me occupied and maybe lead to something else.
