It's not cute, it's brave.
I think most people find it cute how children act like their favorite heroes, like "That's adorable", "I love the imagination".
I don't see it as 'cute', I see it as fucking brave. To have the courage to imagine being in dangerous situations and still see a good ending as if the child have no care for grown up things, meaning they are actually over the idea of war and useless fights about things that has no relevance to their lives. They forgive easy because that is the 'job description' of the hero they want to be.
