So how is zubert exactly coping with how the outside world actually looks? I wanna know how the green fella is 🤑🤑

Excellent question…

I think when you’ve been shown and sent millions upon millions of photos of how the outside world used to look like, and you’ve been stuck with these pictures for… who knows how long, you’re gonna be completely shell shocked.

Zubert had dreams of being able to experience the once beautiful and vibrant, LIVING world their caretakers had. They lived through those who sent in the pictures for analysis but always wanted to experience it themselves.

So. I don’t think they’re coping at all. In my mind, Zubert is so flabbergasted that Vubert and them can’t really get to where Vubert wants them to. Zubert is too shocked and heartbroken by the world that they sort of short circuit.

Also my head canon is that both Vubert and Zubert aren’t very good at helping one another with their problems (I.e. Vubert tells Zubert to suck it up and get over it, Zubert wants Vubert to slow down and explain why he’s upset etc.) so they’re both at a standstill.

Getting back on the rails: Zubert copes by still having hope that somewhere there’s still that green, living earth they learned about. Probably carries around all their favorite pictures/data to look at.

They also see this as an opportunity to discover new species and write and make their own data points and insights. They’ve never had the role of the ‘discoverer’ so that sort of keeps them from being down.

I’ve drawn her as a fox a lot, which I think fits her pretty well even if it was a joke (‘I’m foxy’ deepcut)

I think if you were to ask her yourself she’d probably 1) tell you she doesn’t have time to come up with a fursona and then 2) would probably do a bunch of research on what sort of animal she’d be

Tbh I think if she made one, it would probably be something kinda normal like a cat or something ridiculous like a waterbear/tardigrade

Cat because she likes their independent nature and finds them cute

Tardigrades because of their almost immortal properties and ability to “adapt” to any situation thrown at them. She also finds them cute
