hi everybody today we are sooooo pleased to be able to post some FICBINDING by the incredible @runawaymarbles, who put ALL SIX of our completed stories into two separate and absolutely beautiful volumes: one volume containing “jesse” stories - cambion, antichrist problems, and a house in nebraska, and the other containing “ben” stories - enter night, synchronicity, & only human. i (liz) took about 60-70 photos of these (seriously...) and have spent a few days narrowing it down, but now that i’ve finished it’s time for an IMAGE DUMP. pictures really don’t do these bad boys justice - they feel so booklike!!! - but also, they’re too incredible not to take pictures of. you may need to tap or click > right click > open image in new tab these to see them at full size. please do so because they are worth admiring!!!
first up, both books from the outside:
the foil on front is REFLECTIVE and SHINY. this is one of my favorite things about these books. as you can probably guess, the organe one is the jesse volume and the blue one is the ben volume - the designs on the front of ben’s look like the djinn tattoos from the show exactly!!!
next up, the insides of the books! first is the little decoration on the “blank page” in front:

this looks so totally professional, i LOVE the color on the title pages and how totally vibrant it is, and the paper used inside the covers is so pretty!!
then we have the verse summary/warnings page, taken straight from ao3:

and then here are the titles of each fic in the very cool title font - sliding the rest of the word inside of the “c” in cambion is inspired, actually <3
along with the titles at the tops of the pages!! (for some reason i seemed to have forgotten to take one of antichrist problems, but i did get where it says @callowyn and @thegeminisage aka OUR NAMES!!! along the top on the opposite side)

again, the color is SO good. i love having the chapter numbers in color too!! i keep saying this but it looks like A Real Book. the first few words of each chapter are even in a different font!!
and finally, to wrap things up, a few of my favorite bits, except IN PRINT. trying to narrow these down was like picking children. excerpts from the jesse volume first:

and, finally, in honor of being on the deancas website, my favorite deancas bit from enter night - playing quarters.:
these volumes feel like something you could find by accident in a library and pick up to read for hours. just seeing our words in print makes them seem so much cooler!! the books are both absolutely gorgeous and were a treat to get in my mailbox. cally and i WILL be fighting to the death about who gets which one (no, we still haven’t decided). thank you again to @runawaymarbles, whose other projects you can see here - please go show her some love!!
