This is my new baby.
I'm pretty sure he's a cream spotted tabby with white spotting (yellow eyes). Did I get him right?
///
He looks more ginger than cream to me but that could be the lighting. But yeah, sounds right!

Bagheera “Baggy”
Solid Black without white shorthair male cat
Place of birth: Battle Ground, WA, USA
What would you infer about his genetics and ancestry?
///
Lots of WA state cats huh, thats where I live.
All we can infer is that his mother was not fully red, she was probably a calico or black, but she could have been any color except red-based

Here’s a photo of the spot! It’s a bit lighter in person, but this is the highest quality photo I have on hand.
Larry Richardson
Male Semi-longhaired Amber Eyed Solid Black Tuxedo cat
12lbs of 5-6kgs
Place of birth: Seattle, WA, USA
He has one upper canine tooth. What can you infer by that?
What can you infer about his genetics?
What can you infer about the ancestry of this cat, as a 12 pound semi-longhaired male cat?
What can you infer about the ancestry of Allison, the cat in my last submission?
~
First of all, a cat can’t be semi-longhaired. They can only be longhaired or shorthaired. This guy appears to be longhaired.
Having one upper canine tooth means he lost his other. That’s really all I can tell you about that.
He probably has a black-based mother, or at least inherited the black gene from her. She just couldn’t have been red-based. Both have his parents have to have carried (or displayed) the longhaired gene, and must have carried (or displayed) the gene for a solid coat.
He seems to have low white spotting, so as long as both of his parents didn’t have high white, they can have any combination.
Sorry that I couldn’t be of more help, but I’m not a vet.

Bronwyn MillPlain
Blue eyed all-white male cat
The way he behaved was just like any normal hearing cat. His meow sounded raspy, whereas deaf cats, of any color, have very loud meows.
8-9lbs of 4kgs
Place of birth: Vancouver, WA, USA
What can you infer about his genetics or ancestry?
Was his hearing most likely normal or not?
What color does he most likely have under the white “masking”?
///
We have no way of knowing or even guessing what color he is underneath the white.
All we can infer is that his parents carried white, obviously,
We aren’t vets, we can’t tell you if hes deaf or not, thats something pretty much only a licensed vet can tell you.

Allison Adam Overhill (Winethrop)
Female Vannish patterned Orange mackerel tabby
8-9lbs; about 4kgs
Place of birth: Elk Grove, California, USA
What would you infer about her genetics?
Is common is her vannish pattern and her being orange?
~
She does seem to be a red mackerel tabby, but I would call her a harlequin, seeing as she has color on more places than just her tail and head.
Either one of her parents had high white spotting, or they both had low, or one had high and one had low. She inherited two white spotting genes, and both of her parents carried red. At least one of them was full color, and at least one of them was tabby.
I hope that helps!
Do you consider this cat a cinnamon tabby or an auburn shade of orange tabby?
This cat appears mostly white and has an orange tail, orange on her head invoking a human hairline, orange on her ears but white eartips, and an orange spot on her back. Do you consider this cat harlequin or van?
--------------------------
I can’t tell the coloration by this photo but my guess would be a dark orange tabby, like this
I would consider her a harlequin, as vans are cap and tail only
