Social media may have revolutionized communication, but it threatens our ability to communicate. Without the benefit of body language, we are operating with a major deficit.

I’ve really found the issue of social media Vs real life interactions an interesting and profound issue to explore. I personally feel that social media does degrade the impact that actual interactions with people can have. Just by talking online, for me, essentially diminishes the need for people to actually make an effort to go out to interact and socialise with friends and family, when you could do so online when you are free to do so. I guess for me, it tarnishes the reputation of what “friendship” and “relationships” really do mean, since there is no connection beyond just a screen on your phone or computer.
