Believe it or not this is the same person 🙋me. On the right I was presenting a false image of myself. The "pretty" me that impresses strangers. This fake face took around 40 mins to "perfect". Fake eyelashes, drawn on brows, heavy foundation (that looks and feels terrible in real life), concealer, blush, bronzer, highlighter, lipstick, heavy lighting, filters...(+ dyed hair), the works. Exhausting and suffocating for the skin!! Not to mention expensive to buy it all yourself! Ironically I was nowhere near as happy there as I am in the raw natural shot. 💁Feels good to actually embrace my natural face, ALL of the time. I honestly didn't realise it would be this liberating and rewarding 💪 Im considering doing a video showing a "natural no make up make up” look 😅 I know sounds like a contradiction but will make sense, also tips for those of you want to be confident without the face paint. 👊🏼#gofreeyourself #makeup #nomakeup#myrealselfie#femaleempowerment#girlpower#feminism#beforeandafter#fakereality#realface

It's been almost a year since I've dyed my hair, I calculated I've saved around $2000 on that. I've stopped wearing synthetic eyelashes at around $100 a mth. No longer getting eyebrows sugar waxed and tinted around $50 a mth. Not to mention trying expensive face treatments in the past (did nothing) or the make up I spent too long applying. Much time and many monies saved. There was a time I thought I needed all that and it's SO GOOD to just relax and breathe and realise NO! I AM good enough just how I AM. 🙋It's so liberating to embrace my authentic face and if ppl don't like it they can 🖕, I don't want those ppl in my life anyway. I used to put makeup on my red dot between brows, shave my baby hair fluff on my face and cover my freckles. 😞Mostly to "look good" for complete strangers. 🤦‍♀️These human characteristics are only sold to us as "flaws that need fixing" in order to sell us useless fucking products. Ugh It was exhausting trying to maintain an unrealistic standard set by fake photoshopped media pics (which are now the norm on Instagram too). A good application of "authentic self" is totally free and long term the most attractive enhancement you can apply to yourself. Some people say im "letting myself go" well I call it "letting myself grow" and it's super empowering. 💪 I mean who needs winged eyeliner when u growin' fierce side brows like dis haha 🤷‍♀️Ps- I had a habitual urge to add a filter to this pic and play with the colour adjustments but didn't because #thisisme and I AM good enough like this. 🤚#gofreeyourself #peelingthebanana #peelingthelayers #femaleempowerment #myrealselfie #bodyhairdontcare #vegan #girlpower #realface #bringbackthebush
