Today's Phanniemay entry is set in the universe of my cyborg au, namely dealing with Danny and Tucker's relationship and Danny's own inability to age. Aka Danny and Tucker are best friends but also in a running contest to see which of them can be the bigger shit to the other.
Jealousy
Cyborg AU
Characters: Danny Fenton, Tucker Foley
Summary: It really wasn't fair.
"You know, I really hate your face."
Tucker Foley blinked, startled from his work and turned towards the person who had spoken to him. "You hate my face?" He asked, sounding uncertain as he peered at a rather grumpy looking fourteen year old boy, seated on a stool in the little area of his house that Tucker had deemed as being his 'lab'. Of course, it took Tucker a moment to remind himself that this supposedly prepubescent boy was actually the same age as him- twenty years old.
"Your face sucks." Danny repeated, leaning back and resting his chin in the arm that he currently still had attached to his body, his right was currently being tinkered with by Tucker on his work table. It had been rather badly damaged in an earlier fight with Skulker, and much to his annoyance, the rouge robot had managed to escape again, and was no doubt repairing himself, plotting some other kind of sinister plan. One of these days he was going to get that piece of scrap metal and tear him limb from limb.
The visually older male lifted a brow, a slightly smug expression on his face. "I think you're just saying that because you're jealous, Danny." He noted, and his smirk grew when the blue eyed boy sent a glare towards him, proceeding to sulk even more. "But I'll bite. What brought this on? Normally you don't get all this bent out of shape about things. What, did Dash tease you about being short again or something? You know, you really shouldn't let what a fourteen year old boy says get to you. I mean, technically speaking, you are older than him."
"Technically speaking, yeah. But technically speaking isn't good enough." Danny rolled his eyes, before grumpily looking away from his friend. If he had known telling Tucker how old he really was would have resulted in constant teasing from him, then he would have kept his mouth shut, and left Tucker in the dark about who the secret identity of the mysterious android boy, Phantom, was. But desperate times had called for desperate measures, and he didn't have much of a choice in the situation.
At the very least, knowing that the weird kid next door who tried to hit on her from time to time was actually really her age had made Sam think of him a little differently- even if she did still treat him like a kid sometimes.
