Ugh, I don't know where should I show my anger.
I installed SLBP for a second chance and chose Nobunaga's route. In the middle of the route, in the chapter "Nagashima"'s first part, Nobunaga disgraces his own sister. I should explain a little for it's sake.
Earlier in the route, Nobunaga's sister, Lady Oichi was married off to lord Nagamasa in a political marriage. But when Lord Nagamasa betrayed his brother-in-law (Nobunaga), Lady Oichi let her brother know that before a unequal battle. The evidence of her husband's betrayal against Nobunaga was carried to Nobunaga by MC, a binded bag of beans. You guys know about this history, right? In real history, as far as I know, Lady Oichi let her brother know that his brother-in-law was plotting against him by sending him a bag of beans, bound in either side. Yeah, it was that part, and SLBP MC was blended here (which I liked).
Nobunaga fled the unequal battle with his live only because of Lady Oichi, and of course by MC as the carrier of the message. But then Nobunaga seized the Odani castle of Nagamasa and Nagamasa commits suicide as a honored samurai.
Here I should say, before the siege in Odani castle, Nobunaga expressed his vulnerability before MC that how sad he was to seize his brother-in-law's home, but he had no choice but doing it. I am discussing it later.
Then Lady Oichi returned with his brother in her former home, widowed. And she WAS widowed by his brother. But after the arrival in the castle, Lady Oichi was summoned in the main hall along with MC. And Nobunaga disgraced Oichi's husband in front of her. Though Lady Oichi tried to be cheerful and content for her husband's honorable death, Nobunaga disgraced her late husband in front of all his retainers!
Nobunaga even told, "I wanted to send him (Nagamasa) in his own hell rather than he having an honourable death" (Similar to my wordings, but the wording in the games were a little different). The retainers except Katsuie and Mitsuhide cheered in these words. It was pretty clearly a disgrace for Lady Oichi!!!
And if Nobunaga could feel sorry for his brother-in-law Nagamasa, then couldn't he be a little sensitive towards his OWN SISTER, who sacrificed her life this much???!!! Man, Lady Oichi is also a human!!! Why did he went his way out to make a round-around mocking towards her???
At first, Nobunaga married his sister off to Nagamasa for his own gain. Then he seized his sister's in-law castle and forced her husband to seppuku. Then he gives the Odani Castle to Hideyoshi and disgrace his sister before of all of his retainers??!! What did he think of Lady Oichi??? Was Lady Oichi not his sister??? Yeah, Lady Oichi accepted the fact that her husband betrayed her brother and she understand why Nobunaga seized her castle and EVEN accepted that her husband was dead! How dare Nobunaga disgrace her before an audience?? And what common sense the retainers had?? It is easy to see that Lady Oichi was used by his brother.
I got really fond of Lady Oichi as she was the first in the castle who accepted MC and befriended her. I really liked her character. But I could never accept what Nobunaga done to her. He used her as a political tool and didn't care for her feelings or anything (fairly, because when Nobunaga disgraced her in the main hall, she rushed out and locked herself in her own room).
I won't give a damn sympathy for Nobunaga. I know in the game, he is young and a little short-tempered, but he should have remembered that Lady Oichi was his OWN SISTER, who sacrificed her everything for her brother's sake with a cheerful smile. (It broke my heart when she was still smiling after she reached Kiyosu Castle).
I HATE YOU, NOBUNAGA. I don't give a damn care what reason he had to disgrace the one sister who sacrificed this much for him. Even if Nobunaga had another reason for doing it, nonetheless, I will never forgive him. Inuchiyo was right, Lord or not, he was her brother and family members should not treat anyone like that. He has power, that does not mean he can do whatever he wants.
I thought giving SLBP a second chance, but I am done with this. I will never forgive the devs why did they use Lady Oichi's feelings only to make the route more dramatic. And even if Lady Oichi's heart was broken in real life too, I will say, I don't give a damn care for actual history. I don't care for the real Lady Oichi, but I care for the in-game Lady Oichi who is the best noblewoman I ever saw.
I hate you, Nobunaga. Ikesen Nobunaga was much better. I am REALLY furious of this thing that SLBP put up for. They really did not do it fair. At least they could keep the part away where Nobunaga disgraces his sister before his retainers. I bet it was never happened in real history. They just did it to make drama, but the worst drama I ever saw.
I am switching to ikesen now. I have had enough drama for this. Ikesen Nobunaga was so much charismatic, patient, strong, respectable and well-defined, I clearly enjoyed his route. After reading only the 9th chapter in SLBP, I am missing ikesen Nobunaga by now.
