Pride feels complicated for me personally. I still identify as nonbinary in some respects, but also as a woman in other respects. The best way to describe it I suppose would be Nonbinary Femme, probably also gender fluid to a degree.

Because I'm AFAB and in a relationship that looks heteronormative, I often feel like I shouldn't "claim it", if that makes any sense. So many others out there have to fight every day to be seen and heard, little on respected, and my own gender identity doesn't seem as pressing of an issue when it comes to survival.

Still though, realizing I wasn't really cis when I was in my mid-20s was an eye-opening event and actually helped me enjoy being more femme in outward appearance. I spent so many years looking like a scruffy tomboy exclusively because I thought I needed to. Now I know I don't. It's just about looking however the hell you want because it's how you feel on the inside that matters.
