Gosh, I love just... Absolutely fucking strange interactions.
This isn’t really specific to any place or time, just, sorta, in general. Those interactions that are just utterly weird in a way that changes your day (Not necessarily for the good or worse) but definitely leave an impact.
Case in point, today.
I’m chillin’ in a Discord server, hoping some folks will pop online, and we can hang and chat. I usually bounce between servers, hoping to be the... Sort of open invitation for more people to join.
So I’m in this server. One that has a decent number of folks I don’t really know.
No ones been on for about half-an-hour and I’m getting ready to bounce somewhere else in the hopes of attracting someone.
Someone joins the channel.
I give my usual cheery ‘hello’ greeting.
Silence.
The person disconnects and then reconnects. I assume they’re having microphone issues, and give another greeting.
More silence.
The same disconnect and reconnect. I say ‘hello’ a third time, now with a questioning tone.
They respond with a garbled something that I can’t really understand.
I wait a moment, and they disconnect from the channel I’m in, and drop into another channel in the same server.
I am thoroughly confused by this point as to what is happening, but keep watching.
A second later they type into the bot channel to summon the music playing bot.
Requested song? Godll cut you down
Music bot joins the channel they’re in. I’m still sitting in the original channel, kinda just confused. They tell the bot “ -p wine beer whisky “
I wait another moment, and just as I’m about to drop into the channel they’re in, they disconnect from the server entirely, leaving the music bot playing audio in a second channel, and me, lost and confused.
Like... What the fuuuuuck was that?
It’s so strange! I’m not even gonna say it’s bad strange. Just fuckin’ weird mate.
I waited a couple more minutes to see if they returned again, but as nothing else happened I wandered off, as I do.
but wow, that was....
