JUST VENTING ---This reminds me of one of the more fascinating differences between Paris and other cities (we're thinking mostly N. America)..THAT IS. ..the utter lack of construction site pedestrian protections: workers often blithely weld...sodder...drill etc with ZERO fencing...barriers..or anything to alert folks that something heavy, or electrocution-worthy might sudden appear.. (making that 3pm marketing mtg 'iffy' at best...!!).
