Most people eat their lunch at noon right? 12:00 I started making lunch. 12:10 we get a phone call saying that someone wants to come and see the house because it is for sale. They say that they are going to be their between 12:15-1:15. Simple deduction suggests that they are close by and saw the sign outside and called the number and are going to wait outside for five min and then come to the door and ring the bell. This leaves me five min to clean up the mess in the kitchen from making lunch, put away my violin and melodica that I was practicing, make my bed, put my clothes from the previous day away, and find something to do with my bin will all of my film, and film editing supplies in it. Some how I moved fast enough to do just about all of this until I realized that I was still in my PJs and that I did not really want a complete stranger to see me in a baggie jumper and yoga pants, so I also got dressed.
Then when the people rang the bell at 12:15 I was not surprised. It was a man and a woman who came clearly a couple who was looking at a other house in the area and passed by the sign and called. He looked everywhere exempt for the storage area, bathroom, linen closet, any other closet, and the furnace room. She stood in the middle of the living room and did not move the entire time. Either she did not like the house, she did not care what the house was like, she did not want to be there, or he makes the final decision.
All in all I was not very pleased.
Selling my house.
I told my parents that I was okay with them selling our house, but I'm really not. I mean I've lived here my entire life, my entire 18 years of existence. So it's not something that I can let go of easily. This is all I know. And this might have something to do with the fact that I don't do change very well. But even though they think that' I'm okay with it or that I don't care, it's not true. It's so hard. I man my room is my habitat. It's so personal and now the realter wants to take pictures of my room because it's part of the sale and shit. And I feel so invaded. I'm trying very hard to bite my tongue and not say anything. But that's just not me. Is there anyone who's been in this experience, that can give me some tips on how to deal with this?
