how are you liking the new table split? I will miss Kattigan & Tyranny interactions, but excited otherwise
Intrigued!
Schemers sounds GREAT. I must admit I'm with you AND I think splitting up Wick and Tyranny will be good to do at some point, but it is true that there's a lot of interesting demon stuff in the city. I genuinely expected Hal to have to leave but I am delighted he won't and will be able to really look into the theater. There's so many threads for them - I think Murray's going to have to really lock in with Kora and possibly Cormoray, and Azune's after both the priestly houses for Einfasen while also dealing with The Fucking Dragon and I think that Sam and Whitney will be a great addition as I think that like. The Schemers during Convergence got REALLY into their own heads at times and Sam is a player who tends to be very grounded, and I think Whitney as a newer player tends to just be very open and also has been incredibly up for anything. I am also sad Kattigan and Tyranny are split up though.
Soldiers is exciting because I am simply too seated for The Thaisha Show and what happens with the druid circles. I suspect that Travis will join this as several others have speculated - it gives Thaisha someone to play off of (it's a LOT to run one-player D&D on both the DM and player is the thing, even though I have full trust in Brennan and Aabria being able to do it) and then I think the natural next step is to send them both to meet the others at the Golden Orchard and split into two groups of four from there for our third set of arcs. I also think if they filmed Soldiers, Seekers, Schemers in that order again, this gives (or uh. would have given since it's in the past) Aabria her 8th month of pregnancy off and easily several months leave afterwards.
Seekers is a WILD group. six is Brennan's usual upper limit but he can absolutely run that beautifully. It is a group that's a bit low on healing, but they're also taking the Miller's Road and it's a pretty tank-heavy party (and Vaelus is nothing to sneeze at) plus you can just. not heal Bolaire unless the mask itself is at risk. And it's seekers, not soldiers - not that combat isn't possible, but it's not quite as heavy a focus. I am particularly invested in Thimble's relationships - she and Occtis clearly care for each other but I do want a little more filled out in that backstory, and she and Julien are deeply compelling, and she and Kattigan are already a fantastic duo and will be the Torn Banner Teor-Mourners. I'm interested to see how Vaelus handles more people and I loved her brief interaction with Kattigan. it's The Grief Table and also Bolaire so that's going to be a good time.
