Malpolon monspessulanus - my dream snake species, after 5 years of waiting. They're incredibly intelligent and have complex social behaviors. They're not to be taken lightly due to having somewhat demanding requirements and being rearfanged.

In contrast to most snakes kept in captivity vine snakes are visual hunters. If it doesn't move its not food. They won't drink standing water either. Be ready to regularly purchase live reptiles to feed them. Because they're cheap they're often bought on impulse by people who don't understand their requirements. 99% are wild caught. They come into the country stressed, emaciated and riddled with parasites. This female is a LTC at 4 years. Research any animal before bringing it home.
