Propellerhead’s Thor Synth on iPad
Tablets are no longer a shocking sight or something you stare at when a person on the street passes you by. They are common place and people use them for just about anything they require. I’ve been to restaurants where the server’s note pad is replaced with an efficient iPad mini, which takes note of the food ordered while simultaneously clocking the order into the system. How easy was that? No more paper tickets and no more mistakes being made while getting lost in translation. It is safe to say that they are much more useful, due to their portability, in regular situations than a laptop of similar size. Of course, if that app does gain popularity then it will likely be ported into a full size version – but the key is to go for the masses on the first attempt. This is what Propellerhead is doing, by porting one of their synths over to iOS. They had similar success with their bathroom app known as “figure”. So I guess it’s go figure, right? http://createdigitalmusic.com/2013/06/propellerheads-thor-synth-on-ipad-redesigned-for-touch-and-why-thatd-be-nice-on-pc/
