Haven't seen mention of it yet on here but it is absolutely worth noting that this episode gave us a trans actress playing an Aes Sedai with Rebecca Root playing the Keeper of the Chronicles in the cold opening flash back. We love to see trans women Aes Sedai being real and canon thank you.

Shout out to the Wheel of Time casting team for this absolutely epic casting choice. This is trans actress Rebecca Root playing an Aes Sedai, and it’s such a power move by the casting team, because either there are trans Aes Sedai, or this actress is playing a cis woman, which leaves transphobes arguing for her womanhood. It’s glorious.

Amidst the present outpouring of emotion about what many see as imperfect minority representation in the season three finale, I find it somewhat telling that nobody around here has taken a moment to appreciate that in the same week the UK Supreme Court ruled that trans women are not protected under the law as women — The Wheel of Time gave us a UK trans actress, Rebecca Root, in the role of an Aes Sedai. A Keeper of the Chronicles, no less.

Trans women are women.

The Holmwood Foundation is a Found Footage Horror-Fiction Podcast, a modern-day sequel to the gothic novel Dracula.

We follow Maddie Townsend (Rebecca Root) and Jeremy Larkin (Seán Carlsen), two co-workers at the Holmwood Foundation: a secret organisation that has been maintaining and studying the remains of Count Dracula for the last 130 years, as they are possessed by the ghosts of Jonathan and Mina Harker, and embark on a nightmare road trip, carrying Dracula's severed head across the UK, in an effort to stop him once and for all.
