Ok I'm probably going to sound like a square, but what does "heckin" mean? XD lol
If it's a good thing, then thank you! (>_<)
rebekkuma replied to your photo “yaaay”
You're cute (now give me your skirt).
thank you!!! (i WOULD but. i like the cat print on it very much...)
It is my understanding that if something has a ball-in-socket joint, the. It is ball jointed. Regardless of what is holding it there. Pressure, a peg, or a string. So now are ABJDs "string jointed"? Noo. Dolls with ball in socket joints are ball jointed dolls. At least, that's my thoughts,
this is just *part* of why I think it's so silly to try to draw lines in the sand around what is & what isn't a BJD. That kid was trying to say one of the dolls I posted shouldn't be tagged "BJD" bc they had hinge joints (probably at the elbow, considering what you can see in the recent posts tagged "BJD" on here), but 1) that doll also clearly has ball & socket joints at the shoulder, wrist, and neck and 2) a lot of "real" BJDs have hinged joints for the elbows & knees, so.... it makes no sense.as I mentioned before, IMO the defining characteristic of a BJD is the high level of articulation. some folks say that BJD are dolls that are meant to be customised, but really any doll can be customised if you have the skills & imagination.
TL;DR: yes. :o)
Hi hi hi hi hi! Hi new potential BJD person!
Ah, hello! >.< Heh, right now the BJD thing is really nothing more than a wish and a desperate need of practice, but I'm really hoping I can take things a bit further in the future! I still have a lot to learn... >.>"
You told your parents? Did they force you in to any treatment or anything?
Nah, they actually took it surprisingly well. If anything, they almost underreacted. I did play things down a bit when I told them though, and I didn't tell them it was them who triggered things. Apparently my mother suspected something was wrong for a while, but didn't say anything because she didn't want to start a conflict over it. And they asked if I wanted to go to therapy, but I told them I've been working through it on my own, and with help from some friends, so I didn't think I needed it. And they're fine with that. They've just been asking a lot of questions to make sure I'm eating enough.
How have you been? Your hair looks really cute btw :)
rebekkuma reblogged your photoset:bjdconfessions: Dolls with extremely big smiles...
Wah he so cute.I looooooooove dolls with big smiles.
I'M NOT SURE BOSSCHAN ENJOYS BEING CALLED CUTE! But I totally think so too! I have a soft spot for dolls with big smiles as well xD! they're either happy or creepy... but equally enjoyable to have around~
YES DSE! I didn't realize you had one too! Ahhhh I love her!
She's new! 8D 8D I picked up both faceplates for her about a month ago. I'm going to send her off to my favorite faceup artist sometime next month, and then I hope to have her with me for the PNW BJD Expo.
And yes, i love her too! She's so pointy! (I have a thing for pointy sculpts)
