haha no it's fine! i totally thought the same thing before they said something about it on twitter. but honestly they're so good at saying "oh that stuff doesn't matter in the future" and using that as an excuse to not address important issues.

i'm pretty sure the writers have said that bellamy is in fact half-filipino and that him and octavia have separate fathers, but i wish they actually addressed it like??? they do way too much of telling and not enough showing if you ask me.

lol oh??? when you think you’re being clever and then its already a thing :’) haha. but no you’re right, they really should acknowledge it in the show. b/c it’s important to his characterization that he’s a MOC you know and not just a white guy. But I think another problem with the 100′s writers is that they like to say things like, “Oh, it’s the future, we don’t have labels for sexuality, we don’t have to talk about it,” so I imagine in terms of addressing race they’re sort of the same way.
