What happens when Moecia' kids graduate high school/college?
(moecia...)
you better be damned certain there will be a big ass party for those kids. it will be held somewhere huge where they can have as many guests as possible (i hate him but it would probably be rossis “mansion”) . the decorations would be the school colors that they graduated from. the food would be chosen by the graduate and they would party into the night.
if one of the kids wasn’t big on parties, they were a little more on the shy side, then they would have a smaller gathering at their house.. just the really close family and maybe one or two really close school friends. no matter what, pen and derek would make that child feel so proud of themselves. pen would be so overwhelmed with pride and admiration for her baby because she never got to graduate from college. derek would never stop saying how proud he is and that it is in fact a big deal when the kid insists that it is not.
that kid would have no doubt in their mind how much their parents love them and how proud they are of them. when their baby graduates, it makes them take a step back and realize what their love created. derek is reminded of how grateful he is for penelope and that she gave him the chance to be a father and how lucky he is that it was her and no one else. penelope is very emotional the entire time because her baby is grown up but it is a mixture of sad because time goes by so fast and happy/peaceful tears because damn did they raise a good kid.
when this very important and significant time in their lives happens. penelope and derek are reminded of just how much everything makes sense and how much they adore one another and they both think to themselves that they owe the other one everything for giving them their babies. not only are they proud of their child they are proud of themselves and proud of the one another for having the courage to raise a wonderful human in a world where they have seen what could happen, how bad things could be. they are reminded of their trust, love, and unshakable faith in one another.
