Very funny how far the lovers of The Egg are reaching to try to make his behavior okay. Y'all are gonna dislocate something if you're not careful.

"It's Rook's fault things went wrong because they interrupted the ritual, [The Egg] said he arranged things to mitigate the damage!"

The Egg is in the midst of a second attempt at fantasy RPG magical ethnic cleansing. We saw the most populous city in the world become overrun with demons because of his ritual. What kind of "mitigation" do you think he did here?

He's also...a liar? Like his greatest strength isn't the magical powers, it's his ability to manipulate people and pull them under his control. It always has been.

It's definitely not anything that takes into account the safety of anyone who isn't elfy enough to "count," because we are talking about The Egg. So that's only good for 1 of the 4 main sentient species on the planet, and it's maybe 10% of their entire species. Being very generous here and pretending that elves make up a quarter of the global population (they don't), that's 2.5% of the people of Thedas. The other 97.5% are an acceptable loss—because people die every day, he says. It's what they do.

He's not good. He's never been good. Even when he was (allegedly) doing good things way back in pre-Veil times, he was still only doing it because he believed that he was right, not because anyone else mattered. It's always been all about him. He's been fucking things up from the beginning and every time he does he insists it's "the only way." Literally nothing has changed.

If someone dies from a defensive wound, that doesn't make their death a suicide. Sorry that your Egg is rotten, but it's been ten years—he wasn't gonna get any more palatable.
