the “Veronica” role is filled by a version of The Bride (who is really not like Veronica at all). She’s very much an OC and only like the Bride in that she was Created. Her name is Victoria and she’s Herbert’s “twin” “sister”

EVERYTHING is a horror reference (especially focused on 80s horror and slashers, but not Exclusively). Dan and Meg live on Haddon Lane, Herbert and Victoria live on Elm Street (in the last house on the left). Dan’s parents names are Sally and Jason. Herbert and Victoria’s mom is named Laurie. You get the gist

Herbert and Victoria’s mom is a lesbian mad scientist. Because of course she is. Herbert was adopted and Victoria was Created. The basic hand wavey impossible science of Victoria is that she gets “updated” on her birthday every year so she appears to be “getting older”. No it doesn’t make any sense who gives a shit

Herb and Vicky are the new kids in town (both kind of taking on the Veronica role in s1 in that sense)

Oh Carl Hill is the gross principal at Miskatonic High and that’s probably the Plot of “season 1″ bc I have to think of this as a show

Also it’s Contemporary with 80s aesthetics (like Riverdale’s Contemporary with 50s aesthetics but like. done better.)
