I think Fon as a guardian would go absolute sicko mode much more often than he does in the actual series (never. he never does); I really like the idea of Fon being absolutely pissed beyond comprehension and wreaking endless havoc, something that he really really hates and is deeply ashamed of; I'm talkin punching down entire walls and collapsing buildings that he should not be able to tear down
But Tsuna has his back, and he knows that Fon's worst and most destructive side is not his entire character... the guy is still as chill as ever the other 99.99% of the time, but he holds himself to an impossible standard
Underneath all that peace, rattling beneath the floorboards of his very being, is uncertainty... the quiet storm brewing in him, even after all his years of martial training and mindfulness
He adopts a new sense of peace with himself through his relationship with Tsuna and the others, the type of peace that was more intuitive, less methodical and trained, if that makes sense.. I'd imagine his heritage has him a lot more wound up deep inside than he shows, since he's so outrageously zen (this might be reaching, ik lol)
But he is such a wonderful storm guardian, right in the middle ground between Bel and Gokudera in some way; He has a mix of strategy and intuition amidst combat (Belphegor) and adaptability (Gokudera); I imagine that his strikes never miss and he is nothing less than a one man army when it comes down to it
If you had put him in the ring conflict in Hayato's shoes, he would have definitely sensed the wire placement much sooner due to his familiarity with his own body, clothes and gear and all; however, he very much seems to be the guy to bring a stick to a knife fight... he bears very many scars from the ring conflict battle and he actually is a bit fond of them because it means that he made it out with his life and his friends :'(
Reborn
Naturally he would be the right hand man, arguably one that calls the shots more often than Tsuna lmao; I can only imagine him chewing out some of the guardians (cough Skull and Mammon) for shirking their duties because Tsuna let them off the hook
He's a very capable right hand man at that! Giving Gokudera a run for his money, but I think similarly he was very cold and aloof to begin with, only opening up to Tsuna when he offered some home made treats to him (similar to what happened with Luche), and now he's like Tsuna's lap cat/scary dog privilege lol
He is not without his prankster and jokey side, but it takes forever for him to feel comfortable enough to stop taking everything so seriously. Tsuna's friendship really drew it out of him! He cannot help the small smiles that grace his features and chuckles escaping his lips whenever silly things happen with the gang :') Eventually, he becomes one of the main perpetrators of trouble, but you never see him own up to it because he's got such a stoic facade
He absolutely throws quiet tantrums over not having his morning coffees...
Also I absolutely cannot say anything about the way the sun ring conflict turned out, because Reborn is well versed in martial arts, but ?? Against Lussuria? Would they still have a similar showdown? I do not think so x.x so I will simply not reach that far in this AU
Verde
He’s the most aloof guardian, usually just stepping in since it’s an opportune time to test out his newfangled weaponry; He’s here because he’s pretty dead set on using the Vongola as means to create some ultimate world-ending machine
But Tsuna keeps him in check somehow, granting him a perspective on life and power and what to make of it, it softens Verde just a bit, but I can’t help but see him as the daemon spade equivalent in this scenario, just a little bit of a loose cannon, not really working for Tsuna… but he still feels following the don is the right way to achieve his end goal
Oh you already know he's killin it in the ring conflict, showing up fully loaded with the strangest contraptions and an eerie thirst for blood
Colonello
He initially wasn’t supposed to be a part of this but he just kept showing up and had to eventually bear the rain position when Lal was out of commission, and I think that he brings some pretty different dynamics when he’s alone vs with Lal
Colonello is kind of like a heavy rain, a constant rain storm, more similar to (aha) a stereotypical storm type guardian than a rain
But it works in their favour! Peep my thoughts with Lal hehe
He would have somehow gained his guardian role after the ring conflict, methinks; possibly in the next arc for insert plot point reasons
He's a follower of Tsuna because he finds his resolve very impressive, and his willingness to put himself through the wringer for the sake of improving himself and protecting his loved ones
Colonello finds that reflection of himself with Tsuna, and despite how frequently he chews his boss out with their training, it's a way of motivating himself as well and he always goes the extra mile to prep recovery meals for everyone after training, despite his reluctance to admit that he cares for his family members
Lal Mirch
I think in this case, instead of having two mist guardians, Tsuna would have two rain guardians! It would not have happened in the same way as Chrome and Mukuro, but Tsuna just couldn’t say no to either of them and the two of them just work so much better together and greatly enrich the team as a whole, so there’s no reason to have to pick
Anyway, I see Lal as more of the flash flood type of rain guardian, wherein you don’t realize the rain is going to get super heavy out of nowhere, and by the time you start running for cover, it’s too late; that way, the two of them cover different bases and ultimately Lal is able to gain more control of combat due to Colonello’s more in-your-face, flashy fighting style; they greatly complement each other ! :)
Lal and Squalo would have been the fight of the century tbh, I don't know how she fought back then but I would bet that both of them are skilled in martial combat and pack firepower
Lal is kind of there because she feels like it's her job, but admittedly is a super softie for the rest of them, especially Colonello; Down time with the group is the only time she gets to relax and you won't see her sharing her feelings verbally, but she strangely is always freeing her schedule just enough to spend quality time with her loved ones, even with the resting pissed face gracing her beautiful features
Esper Mammon
They’re in this for the money, and they only like Tsuna because of how rich and powerful his family is lolol
Initially they say that they’ll never work for free, but they most likely will get their life saved by Tsuna a few times, and they hate the feeling of being indebted to this guy; Mammon attempts over and over again to just throw a wad of cash at Tsuna to feel like they’re no longer on the hook for their life debt (they never were!! Tsuna is not that kind of guy), and Tsunayoshi just keeps rejecting it over and over, insisting that he did it purely because it’s the right thing and there’s literally no reason to feel indebted…
Ding ding ding, Mammon’s grown attached and is now loyal to Tsuna for more than just money reasons; Life is short, that’s why they collect money and surround themselves with people they adore
Mammon would have totally used their illusions to skip school and make some extra cash on the side lolol and Tsuna ends up having to cover for their ass when the teachers get suspicious; Reborn is the trouble maker that tries to get Mammon busted B)
Skull
He somehow ends up doing a lot more secretarial work than he signed up for, because everyone else pushes it on him; He doesn’t mind at some point because it gives him so much leeway to slack off lolol until Lal catches him and gives him the ass beating of his life for it
He's a thrill seeker, and his humungous ego actually gets him in a lot of trouble. There are points in time where he feels like if he cannot succeed at something, the whole world is against him and he might as well just stop trying? Or to go balls to the wall with disregard for his life
Now, man is built like a tank and practically unkillable, but the amount of times that Tsuna and the others had to live through Skull's near-death experiences has made him a lot more aware of just how much people actually give a shit about him and how throwing all caution to the wind may not kill him yet, but pains his loved ones more than anything..
He's still the baby of the family though, despite him wanting to show up and be the cool guy, he's just a silly guy!! He also always arrives late to anything and everything and that's gotten them in trouble infinite times
me realizing I had to pull character flaws out of my ass to see the Arcos in a more well-rounded light, with room for character development (since they'd need to do that over the hypothetical course of the series if they were Tsuna's guardians) this rly juiced my brain but I might as well post??

Pros of Dating Xanxus
Okay, but Xanxus? So used to only the finest things and refuses any less. He will have the best of the best when it comes to anything - food, beverages, clothes, toiletries...shit, even probably his toilet paper is stupid expensive and unbelievably plush. Now, while Xanxus is a lot of things, the one fault he does not have is greed, in the sense that he won't make those around him suffer with scraps. And especially not his partner. They will get the same fine meals, the same nice clothes, the same luxuries that he allows himself and his subordinates...in fact, they'll probably get just a bit better than his subordinates. He is wealthy and he will use his wealth to keep his partner in a situation he feels befits a lover of the mighty Xanxus. They normally won't even need to ask.
Allow me to be crass here, though I'll keep it short and to the point. The sex will be absolutely insane and he will make you swear you saw God by the end of it. Sex is a language that Xanxus can speak and it's honestly an important way that he shows his love to a romantic partner.
Okay, I know I've mentioned this in several other posts, but as with any other Mafia boss...you get a whole new built in family just from seriously dating Xanxus. Sure, they're all insane. Sure, you're pretty certain that Levi might dream sweetly at night about a gory, unbelievably painful death for you. But the Varia members will take you in, they will protect you, and they will make you one of their little crazy family.
Cons of Dating Xanxus
I'm going to get the biggest con and the one that is likely to be the most controversial out of the way first. As much as the whole 'power of love can change anyone' cliché has been heavily romanticized (and if you enjoy that, please don't let me stop you because my view doesn't invalidate yours), I personally do not think that simply falling in love with someone or developing romantic feelings for someone is enough to drastically change anyone and especially not Xanxus. While he would be a bit kinder or softer to his partner than he would to most people and they're probably one of the few people he tolerates, he's still exactly who he has always been. A spoiled brat with one hell of a nasty temper. He will get pissed at his partner. They will fight, he will throw things (though I hesitate to say he'd actually physically harm them but wouldn't be above scaring them and, in the moment when he's pissed, would actually enjoy doing so), he will say harsh and rude things. His temper has always been volatile and while age will make it slightly easier for him to control, he's always going to have a short fuse. It's who he is and his partner will have to be in for a bumpy road.
Xanxus has a reputation and honestly, he's rather proud of his reputation and of being feared. He wants to keep that image and that will really suck for his partner if they are someone who needs public love. It's not that he won't be seen with them. Rather the opposite in that, if Xanxus does actually lower his guard enough to romantically love someone, they are likely going to be kept in close vicinity to him almost all the time. It's simply that he will not be seen being anything more than tolerant to them in front of others, barring maybe the other Varia members and even then, it would be more lust on Xanxus' side than softness. Any softness, tenderness, physical affection...of which Xanxus will give his partner, I'm not saying he wouldn't...is saved exclusively for when the two of them are alone.
Let's be completely honest. Any partner of Xanxus' will have to be exceptionally mentally and emotionally strong for one reason - there is always a huge chance that they could die or that someone they'll get close to, like the Varia members, or even Xanxus himself could die. It's a very real probability and one they'll have to deal with mentally every day. The life the Varia leads, and especially Xanxus, is one of violence and danger and by being with Xanxus, they'll have to accept that sort of life for themselves as well.

Random headcanons
- Reborn’s favorite type of coffe is freshly ground in strong expresso [intensity 9-11] but tends to prefer a ristretto first thing in the morning to help him wake up.
He thinks caramel/cookies/hazelnut tastes are not real coffee and judges silently all the people who drink it and call themselves coffee lover.
He would put a little cloud of whipped milk on top of the cup to seduce his lover, but don’t hope to have him making coffee often, because he prefers it when it’s served to him.
- He’s a huge fan of jazz and enjoys listening to Billie Holiday while reading his newspaper but he doesn’t like piano tunes because it puts him in a sorrow melancholic mood.
- Reborn knows how to assemble and disassemble all kind of weapons, in less than 2 minutes and a half
- He doesn’t have an official driving licence, but it doesn’t stop him from driving anyways. It happened countless time that he charmed policemen [and women] with a dashing smile to get out of compromising situations, and they, always, let him go with just a warning ‘for this time’.
- No one can’t beat him at scrabble but he’s a freakin’ sore loser and has no tactic at all when he plays monopoly so beware, he’ll cheat all the time.
Domestic Headcanons
- Reborn doesn’t have a real «home» as he’s constantly on the move or on the run, he wishes, somedays, to be able to buy a comfy duplex in La Spezia with a huge veranda and view on the sea.
For now, he’s more used to shabby hotels and a preferential room at Dino’s mansion when he’s not into yours.
- He prepares the best and the more beautiful breakfast in the world, but he’s pretty bad at cooking in general so he’ll find a tons of excuses for you to cook or order some things here and there when doesn’t forget to eat.
- Finally, a man who keeps the bathroom spotless. He even puts down the toilet seat.
- He grumbles a bit when it comes to do the housework and he would rather pay a maid than mop the floor
- The bed is always made because it’s so satisfying to plundge under a perfectly done blanket when he exits the hot shower to relax after a rough day.
Romantic headcanons
- As previously said, Reborn isn’t one to do the chores in the flat, but he won’t let you do it neither. If you refuses to have someone else helping, he’ll nonetheless give you a hand, taking care of the dishes, the trash, and he would even lifting you up on his shoulders so you can reach the highest shelves. And it's totally not an excuses to watch under your shirt.
He becomes really childish when you’re the one making the bed because he passes his time to jump and sprawl on it like a cat with a mischievous smirk.
- He’s a powerful well known man, which doesn’t only earn him friends, so he won’t make your relationship public before long. Nothing personal, very few people know about you and it’s better that way. He'll ask Dino to be your bodyguard int he shadow when he's not around.
- He sleeps with one eye open if I dare say, a gun under his pillow, even if he’s used to it’s sometimes hard for him to stay focus when he doesn’t sleep correctly few days in a row.
He can find only a true rest when he forgets about the mafia and all that ensues, right in your arms after a night with you.
- He would never talk about him, his job or anything mafia related if he’s with a civilian s/o, he won’t communicate any informations neither if he fools around with people from the mafia world too.
It’ll take months and a lot of internal conflict to share with you what he really do and who he really is, and the only reason he’ll spill everything it’s because he’s about to lose you with his tons of lies and unsaid.
- He likes to have a handkerchief with your perfume in his pocket everytime he leaves for a mission, it reminds him that someone he truely care for is waiting for him and that he has a home to go back to now.
NSFW
- He has a high stamina but would prefer one long round than several short ones if he’s with someone he deeply care about. It’s like an outlet to truely show things it’s sometimes complicated to say with words.
- It doesn’t mean he’s not into quickies too, because looking at his partner suffer to keep it quiete while he takes them against the wall while dozen of persons are in the next room amuses him beyond reason.
- Feeling your breath on his neck/nape/ears while you whisper against him is a huge turn on and he will get goosebump in no time.
- He pretty likes what the 69 has to offer and it sometimes an end in itself if the foreplay lead to that position because he’s in full control of his body and yours and can’t stop himself to bring you to your climax.

Такое внимание не могло остаться без внимания Бьянки. Когда она стала чаще присматриваться к ним, то заметила явную химию и это ей очень не понравилось. В девушке забурлила дикая ревность, из-за чего ей захотелось уничтожить соперницу, но она понимала, что та ни в чём не виновата, да и человеком была хорошим. Но всё-таки ядовитый скорпион предприняла пару попыток накормить её своей кулинарией. I’m procrastinating on everything so bear with me. This ended up being really long yikes and still unfinished
In the last year of high school Tsuna kinda pulls his shit together and studies hard to get a double degree in criminology and criminal justice. Which is ironic as fuck but Reborn approves because Tsuna should DEFINITELY know more about the world he’s dealing with. Part of Tsuna doesn’t want to be Vongola anything but by this time he’s really just accepted his role lol. Tsuna refuses to join any society.
At first, Gokudera wants to do the EXACT same degrees as Tsuna but Tsuna reminds Gokudera that it’d be a waste of Gokudera’s abilities and suggests subtly that there’s a serious need for an understanding of law and stuff that would REALLY help Tsuna, so Gokudera takes up Commerce/Law (majoring in accounting and criminal law). Gokudera’s the type who of course attends every lecture and tutorial and records incredible notes but in G script lol. Gokudera is invited to join the secret society/code society/etc and wants to reject but Tsuna pushes him to do it lol.
Yamamoto does the same degree as Tsuna (lol) because he doesn’t really mind one way or the other. [Yes Gokudera is kinda bitter about Yamamoto being able to be with Tsuna in EVERY CLASS but at the same time at least he has someone to look after him] Yamamoto joins the baseball club.
Chrome absolutely aces her exams and goes on to do Medical Science and Arts

Lambo joins a lot later of course. He chooses engineering but he really just fucks around cos he doesn’t care and he’s just using the degree as a filler because Tsuna decides that the younger kids HAVE to go to uni (gives them time to ‘reconsider’ joining the Vongola too and maybe lead their own life. also gives them a way out). Lambo never turns up to any of the lectures and only goes to the mandatory attendance tutorials.
M.M. chooses to do design and commerce majoring in textiles and business respectively. Fran and Ken both refuse to go to uni. Chikusa does go to uni and chooses _________
Pretty sure it’s canon that Shouichi and Spanner both do Software engineering in university. But I think Byakuran would have done Law and Science. So how would Byakuran and Shouichi have met? Through a society of course, in this case, I think a food appreciation society. For Shouichi, the free food and location of the stall would be convenient as he’d be able to remember to eat something (otherwise he’d end up deciding to skip) and for Byakuran, the free sweets and vouchers would be a total plus.
Though my alternate headcanon is that they both do engineering, Shouichi doing software and Byakuran doing a flexible first year or biomed engineering along with arts, and met during the engineering lecture (B: ’anyone sitting here?’ S: ‘no’ then Byakuran strikes up conversation)
