Ignis Scientia | Claimed.
With his King dead and his friends out of his reach, Ignis is left heavy hearted and feeling lost for the first time in his life. Despite the warmth of the sun across his skin, he can’t find it in him to be happy it, he now has to find his way back and hopefully grasp onto a sense of purpose once more. Or has he finally completed his duty?
Some would say the hardships started at the very beginning when he was young and his life was taken and claimed by the Crown, a duty bestowed upon him that would follow him throughout the entirety of his life before he was even old enough to know what he wanted. Some would say they began with the fall of Insomnia, the severity of his job settling fully on his shoulders. Or perhaps when Pryna showed him his King’s fate and the fate of the world should they not fulfill the prophecy. Most would argue it was when he gave up his sight for Noctis, almost dying in the process. But if you asked him, it started the moment his King stepped into the crystal and was gone to him for what felt like forever.
He knew he would return, he knew it deep in his bones, he had to. But even still the next 10 years had been miserable for him, he felt lost, uncertain for the first time in a long time. But even that hadn’t compared to the despair he felt now, at least during that time he’d had hope to hold on to. He had work that he could do to busy himself and keep his mind off of what all had happened. But now...now...what was left for him?
Noctis was...dead. Gone. The light had returned and the darkness had been banished from the world, but it took with it everything Ignis had ever known. He didn’t know where Gladio or Prompto were, if they were even alive, safe. He stood alone in a crumbling city, and he felt empty. It was sheer muscle memory that got him out, that even kept his feet moving. He made his way for Hammerhead, people still had to be there, hopefully they would have something for him, something to busy him again to take his mind away from the crushing weight of this feeling twisting in his gut.
It would take him some time to get there though, leaving him alone with his thoughts, turning him away in the wrong direction and distracting him, losing him on the winding roads outside the city.
Would he be able to find his way to Hammerhead, or would he lose himself to his own mind first?
When he finally finds civilization again he’ll immerse himself in whatever job is given to him, work will once again consume his life, and he will deny himself a chance to truly grieve. Can he still help the people of Eos like this, or will he eventually be forced to step down?

Ravus Nox Fleuret | Claimed.
Loss was nothing new to the ex-Prince, his mother, his sister, and finally the one person in this world who probably still understood how he felt…Noctis. The true King. It took him too long to accept it, to believe it, and now he’d never get the chance to apologize, to show him he believed in him. But perhaps now, with the break of dawn across Eos, he could have the chance to change that. Will the people of Lucis forgive him and accept his help, or will be alone in this?
Ravus had almost lost himself to the darkness that Ardyn had spread across this world, he’d almost fallen prey to his schemes as so many others had before. The death of his sister had been the final push that had plunged him into an all consuming hatred, into a despair that would have claimed his every thought and twisted every motive…but he’d seen her, one last time. Smiling at him. The idea that even in death she still believed in her King so strongly had been the only thing that kept him from losing it, that kept him from turning his back on Noctis entirely.
He could only bring himself to commit one single act of alliance, leaving his father’s sword behind for him to reclaim, he would need it to defeat Ardyn. As the time passed without an utterance of Noctis survival, as darkness claimed the planet and daemons took control of the world they knew he began to wonder if it had even been worth it to do that. Was this going to be his life now, holed up inside a cold manor, staring out onto a burned city shrouded in night? For 10 years that was how it had felt.
When the coming of dawn broke across the horizon, light dancing into the balcony of his room he’d wondered if maybe he’d snapped, if being alone for so long had finally gotten to him. But he stepped out, looking across his home as the sun rose higher into the sky, and he smiled. For the first time in years, he smiled. And hope reclaimed his soul.
He would endeavor to do everything he could to help rebuild this world, to honor the memory of those lost in the ridiculous war that had helped to plunge it into that dark time. It was all he could do, even if they deserved so much more. With not only his sister but with Noctis in mind as well he finally would leave his home and venture back to Lucis to offer his help.
But would they accept it? Would they accept him?
The people of Lucis would not great him with open arms, the wounds of the war still fresh in their minds despite the time that had passed. Would he be able to maintain his conviction and push through it and gain their trust? Or would he be shunned out again and left to watch as the world moved on without him?

Just watched Clerks 3. This pop punk song I never heard before was used so well in it, knew I would love it after it played for 5 seconds.
