Rec me an anime!

I prefer sports anime (idk why) but I’m open to other types. Preferably no horror stuff. Hopefully, no sad endings unless it’s so beautiful it’s worth it. I’m not SUPER into romance but I’m not opposed to it. (My 17-year-old brother LOVES romance anime, he rarely watches anything else)

Random question

Has anyone ever written an inverse Harry Potter story? I mean, as in, a squib goes to a really damn good school and then to university and finds that life without magic can be pretty awesome?

I remember reading a really good fic about the caretaker, Mr. Filch, before OotP came out, and explored the life of a squib as a sort of disability and how it was treated, and how it was different from being a muggle. I really enjoyed that. Stories from the POV of the unlovely castoffs of a magical world appeal to me. Anything like that?

Fic recs - boredom, rapid minds, adhd, divergent thinking and that constant noise

Just read a post about the portrayal of Sherlock sometimes feeling rather relatable to people with ADHD. Not everything, clearly, but the mix of single-minded focus and constant distraction, the intolerance of boredom, the pain of insufficient stimulation and the dread of over stimulation is something you rarely see so well-illustrated as you sometimes do in this fandom.

I wanted to put together some kind of list of fics - or scenes or chapters from fics - that is illustrative to these particular aspects of the overactive mind - because it’s far more beautiful in fiction than in real life, but fiction helps us understand it in some way, and that’s a rare thing.

So. Do you have any favourite parts or whole fics on this? They don’t have to be about ADHD or neurodiversity at all - it’s the feeling and illustration I’m looking for. Something you relate to.
