The end of good men
"To dogs, we must all seem as gods; they have no conception and therefor no understanding of that which we do and are capable of, and they live at our mercy. Likewise, all other men must feel as dogs when compared to those who hold the greatest understanding of the human mind; the only difference is that they know to be weary of such power, and so that is the motive for those who bite the hand that feeds. What is to stop these people from casting off their humanity like a dead skin and simply manipulating, and ultimately destroying, any and all people around them? What is to keep them from giving in to temptation and their natural(understandable) inclinations towards cynicism? Nothing. Even if they are predisposed towards helping others, the people around them will fall far short of their hopes and they will face the reality of both theirs and others' limitations; once they realize these limitations, they then realize the large difference between them; when they come to these conclusions, the only logical step is to abuse this power because they are no better than those they condemn; they are only larger. Who is to stop them? No one; the dogs do not care enough about themselves or each other to work in unison against this common enemy; nor can they anticipate it, for those knowledgeable few will mask their scent and be indistinguishable from any other dog. They will infiltrate every level of their confidence and play them all against each other in order to further their own ends. This is the end of good men."
