It kind of does feel like there is a power battle going on, a battle over narrative control and a lot of fake hype that amounts into nothing? It's strange.

But to answer your question, it isn't that long ago his team denied stuff. They denied he was in a relationship with OD, and said they're just friends. So they've obviously diverted away from the "no comment on any rumours" strategy they used to employ. I honestly love that they take control back and not let everything fly like they used to. Speculation does drum up engagement, but it's pretty exhausting for fandom. So this is good, keep it up!

He's intentionally denying things and getting fake articles deleted. I wonder if he just doesn't want any public attention during his break, or if something is happening behind the scenes.

Beats me (that's my go to answer to all the shananigans going on today). I have no idea.

It didn’t used to be this way when he was active and promoting. We didn’t have credible newspapers and magazines just make stuff up about H without being fed it or without an agenda. This seems random and for attention. It's not really malicious either. It's just too exaggerated to be true.

Harry has been regularly in the papers during his whole break, but we've never had anything so obviously untrue or so much fake info so widespread, and coming from credible sources. So it can't be that he doesn’t want attention during break. Is it to trigger a response out of him and have him speak up?

Because how is V*gue, who were there at the gala, just allowed to print fake quotes from Harry raving about this being the best gala of them all? Or a newspaper print fake quotes from a spokesperson for a venue saying they're closing in on a deal?

This is unusual (and mysterious).

Personally, I think it's an official denial because rep implies that it was someone from Harry's PR team who contacted them in the first place. But they changed it to "sources" so the rumors wouldn't easily go away. If the Azoffs started the rumor, they sure don't want the hype to go away so fast...

But what i don't get, who put out the rumour in the first place? The Sphe*e owners or H's team (the Azof*s)? Who denied it, and why? And why would they leave it open to interpretation and not just flat out deny it, if they felt it important enough to address in the first place? They usually don't comment on things at all, only if it's against another narrative they want out there. You don’t use your reps to speak on your behalf and then go oopsie, make me a source close to Harry instead. To me that was intentional. The heading still says "Harry rubbishes rumours" and for the gp, the distinction between a rep and a source doesn’t matter. The message is that it isn't true and it isn't happening. So there is no hype now.

I don't know what's going on, but what i do know, is that i'm tired of so many people speaking on H's behalf. It's like he can't speak for himself and like he forgot to give them a NDA to sign, because we never hear it from H himself.

It’s funny just how fast the night changes and H himself denied the Sph*r* residency rumours. What is your opinion why he, the man who basically never denies anything unless it’s something truly ridiculous aka spitgate, denied this? I mean, there are always rumours about him performing somewhere whether it’s headlining Glasto (the lineup for this year is up with him nowhere), him performing at SuperBowl, him performing at that LA aid show and list can go on and on and while he’s always quiet, now this was such a bold “no”. Maybe he doesn’t want to have anything in common with this venue close to bankrupcy? Maybe it’s not his thing to perform in such a circus city as Las Vegas is? Ooooor he’s truly split with A**ffs and don’t want his name to be connected with their venues in future? I’m curious about your opinion!

Ref. My last ask - apparantly the S*n amended their article from "a rep for" to "sources close to Harry", so not sure if this counts as Harry denying it or not. Harry's rep did deny a relationship with OD last autumn, so they've been on the ball while H's been on break. Maybe that's why they're doing it, because he's still on break.

I don't know why they chose to deny this, maybe because it's creating hype that they can't live up to? Or it's distracting from his album launch? Or he's in actual negotiations and wants to do 10 shows, and they want him to do 35 so they put this out to pressure him? Or it's because it's a really bad idea to have a recidency there? Or it's because they saw the negative reaction from fandom?

There has been some strange things going on with "sources" saying this and that about H as of late. I don't think he's left the Azo*fs, but i totally get why people is starting to think so.

Hmmm, that's peculiar. I don't know the real difference between them though. Maybe they wanted to continue the "never denies anything" strategy after all, and amended it to "sources"? Because a rep can speak on behalf of Harry, but a source close to him is someone who's got information they're sharing, with or without Harry's approval...

I wonder which source close to Harry would know if he's in contracts talks with them or not, and know how Harry feels about it. The obvious answer is a member of his team, his PR team in particular, so why not use the rep to deny it?
