Cringetober day 16 : Reclaimed Insecurity

Mine is kinda lame but basically when i was younger i used to HATE my big ass buck teeth, then i became a Nina Cortex fan and was like "wait a minute.. . I look like herr!!" Now i like my big ass buck teeth :B

i drew this while being very sleep deprived

Tomorrow's prompt is selfship and my (probably) aromantic ass has no idea what to do for it so uh...miiiight skip that one

There are many insecurities I could have chosen but I chose the one I don't mind other people to know about. Im scared to lose my ability to draw because without a pencil I have nothing else to be good at.

I also feel slightly pressured because some artists are way more skilled at my age and there are alot of artists to compete with.

So sometimes I have to remind myself every artist follows their own path towards success and I should try to focus on improving myself without distraction.

Ah, high school

I've always wanted to try drawing in this cool lookin black and white style. not willing to draw 5 people so woe vague silhouettes be upon ye (except for me bc as the text suggests, I am the main character of our friend group)

Also just to explain the reclaimed insecurity bit.

I am deeply insecure about my yellow teeth. When I was in middle school a guy in my class mocked them by saying that every time I opened my mouth he was blinded by the sun while pointing at his teeth. The joke was that it sounds cute out of context, but he laughed after that and it was just referencing how the sun is usually depicted as yellow. So I tried to reclaim that by making my fursona eating an actual sun. I have mixed feelings about it but I still like how it turned out :)
