so in overwrite/recode au Mitsi is revived shortly after her death, only remaining "dead" for maybe a day or two while Zoe/the Heart deals with the mess that is a bunch of stick's files and code suddenly being all funked up. but of course dying as a digital thing is more like being deleted, so of course parts of Mitsi's code would be missing which Zoe promptly replaces. those little patches in Mitsi's code were carefully crafted just like those later given to TDL, but that doesn't make them perfect and of course it can change things about a person.
overwrite Mitsi is the "spirit" of protection and of justice, which turns her kind demeanor to a rather aggressive one when provoked, like "will make you suffer pains worse than death if you hurt anyone close to her" types of aggressive. but it also puts her on a short fuse that she struggles with (got a fic about this coming out eventually)
