The Records of the Other Side Mythos
The Records of the Other Side Mythos, otherwise known as "what if Alan Wake, Umineko: When They Cry and EverymanHYBRID had a freaky little baby with many faces?"
The Records of the Other Side Mythos explores a lot of really fucking rad themes — the cycle of trauma, the hollow comforts of stasis vs. the catalyzing miracles of change, the nature of heroism and how we see ourselves, how memories shape a person.
There's sick monster designs. There's characters that will stick with you for ages. There's all kinds of incredible needledrops. This is a Mythos that rewards dedicated viewers, people who are willing to dig into the bones of it.
I've loved it for almost a decade. I've acted in it, I've written for it, I've given my heart and soul to this beautiful set of series. My friend Micha's given their all editing, acting and writing each of these series.
It's a hidden gem, it's a joy, it's so much woven together.
So many CWs apply to the overall Mythos, but particularly flashing lights, loud noises, blood, yelling, drug usage, guns, discussion of suicide, self harm mentions, discussion of abuse, body horror, eye gore, rot where rot shouldn't be, I Cannot Stress The Eye Gore Enough.
