Just finished watching the final episode of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel", which has been a wonderfully incisive show about a woman's place and the nature of the performing arts. It's sadly gone under the radar for most people because it was an Amazon Prime show. Seek it out!
Humans
If you’re in the US and you get a chance to watch the first episode of the 8-part series ‘Humans’, I’d highly recommend it. Just caught up with episode 2, which aired in the UK on Sunday, and I’m loving it.
It’s not just the storyline, which is progressing at a perfect pace (not too fast that you lose track of what’s going on but not slow enough that you get bored or lose interest), the cast are amazing and the angles/shots/lighting/direction is brilliant.
(Going back to the cast, I’m sure some of you will recognise a load of them, too - I’d been expecting to see Colin Morgan (Merlin), Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd) and various others, but was pleasantly surprised to see Ruth Bradley (Primeval) appear on screen, too.)
So, basically, what I’m trying to say is if you’re looking for a new show, tune into Humans tonight! (Or catch up if you’re in the UK - it’s on 4OD.)
