Been recording a bunch of stuff for an upcoming video! 🎙️😏
Now that I'm back on a good dose of T, I'm thinking about recording again to see if my voice drops more.
If I did one of AmaLee's English covers for One Piece Film Red, which should I try? (Or what should I do first, if I do multiple)
I'd also like to test out my acting chops again, maybe try some One Piece impressions again. Any suggestions for guys I should do?
Whooo! Got there!
Finally.
FINALLY!
I got the next parts recorded for AYEM! Work has been killer this summer and I just had no time. Plus, the next part had a lot of shouting part I was nervous about recording while the parents were home. But this past week they were away and I had the house to myself. All that’s left is some little audio tweeking and I’ll be ready to upload.
Though first, to UPS to send out Skull’s package. ^^
Vote Now! [Yes - redo chapter 1, 2 and the shorts] [Yes - redo chapter 1 and 2] [Yes - just the shorts] [No - leave the old stuff as is]
Because I’m dork that likes to go back and listen to my old stuff, I took a listen through my earlier readings. And... I kinda wanna redo some of them. But I also really wanna finish AYEM. I’m so close, I’m almost done chapter three and then there’s just two chapters left.
So I’m going to run a poll for a little while, probably reblog it a couple times and see what feedback I get.
listening to myself sing Hallelujah backwards and it’s creepy but- strangely beautiful?
@celesteominous replied to your post: This is gonna be fun
Awesome. ^-^ Sounds like a lot of editing.
Oh totally! But it actually doesn't take me too long. I usually edit it as I go. I'll read a little, usually the first couple paragraphs, then go back and listen. I edit out any weird breaths or mouth sounds (I tend to click my tongue a lot) and I'll adjust pauses to keep the pace of the story. Usually it takes me about the length of my laptop's battery (as I have to unplug it or it causes interference with my microphone) and that's about two hours. Afterwards I'll listen to the whole thing again, fix any bits of dialog that sounds off then do audio edits like voice changes for Gaster in the void and now adding sound effects. ^^
This is gonna be fun
So I decided to reread through the last parts of A Year Every Minute to make out a little recording plan to help me figure out which voices will come up and what sound effects I could use. Also to see what I could combine as some of the parts pair well together. This is what I ended up with:
Part 41 - 42 - together (voices: Gaster, Grillby, Alphys, glitched out monster) (sounds: light switch, teleporting)
Part 43 - single (voices: Papyrus age 12, Sans sounding older) (sounds: machine?, morse code)
Part 44 - single (voices: Grillby, Gaster)
Part 45 - single (voices: Gaster) (sounds: opening prompt/glitchy)
Part 46 - single (voices: Chara, ) (sounds: UT knife swing, UT blasters, UT spear, running?, machine/metal hit)
Part 47 - 48 - together (voices: older Papyrus and Sans, Dogammy, Dogaressa, Flowey) (sounds: crashing trees, UT blaster)
Part 49 - single (voices: Flowey) (sounds: TV?, crashing trees)
Part 50 - single (voices: Flowey) (sounds: UT soul ping, UT blasters, teleporting, ball bounce, whoosh)
Part 51 - single (voices: Flowey) (sounds: squeezing vine, sizzle, hard knocking, teleporting, struggle?, bone crack, UT dusting)
I remembered Flowey was coming up in this chapter but I completely forgot about Alphys. I think I’ve got a voice in mind for her. Flowey’s gonna be a little tricky.
