things will work out!
You guys don't know how happy I am that I didn't wear my arm brace at all throughout the school day and I didn't feel ANY pain other than a few twinges. I'm thinking I might stop wearing it 3-7th periods. Wear for orchestra since that's when I'm having the most movement, and keep it in my bag just in case of some pain. But dude. This is such a big improvement!!!
recovering.
i found my old diary a couple of days ago. it mainly consisted of my preteen to teen years. i was so unhappy, angry, and confused. i had so many secrets. i was not comfortable in my own skin nor was i able to feel accepted by my family. this past year has changed so much for myself and my own family. i have learned more about people while still playing as the wallflower of every situation. i have learned the deceit and comfort given by friends and other significant people. being immersed so suddenly in a different world has given me more power in standing by what i believe in and want. many doors have opened up to me, some good and some bad. the recent people in my life have made me laugh, smile, cry, and most importantly, feel comfortable in who i truly am. i have let go of all the ugly secrets and have searched comfort with my parents. coming out to them and telling them about my self-harm has been the scariest and amazing parts of my life.
i cannot say i am prepared for my second year of college. but god, can i please say that i am so unbelievably excited for what will enfold in the next year? i hope the people that give me so much to live for stay in my life for quite a bit, if not forever.
