Today with the 122112 hoopla I was in the mood for apocalyptic themes in my fic. But then apocalypse seems to be a daily habit for OUAT fics with curse breakings and whutnot. 

Anyway, been looking for this and thanks to Exquisit for helping me find the fic. 

A good read if you don't mind the lack of proper editing. :) [yes, you. E told me all about it ;)]

oh my god. BEST. i need the next one like air. Just when you thought SQ fic writers can't write up anything much better than the previous fic, they come laughing and slamming your reality with another.

maybe it will help you recuperate, maybe not, but nonetheless here are SQ fic recs (Post Curse. aka. Post Daniel and Regina's 2nd chance at H.E.)

where do you want me to start? let's just go with the happy yeah? Or the closest we can get to it.

Right now my happy place for fics is Scribes' The Debt and its sequel A Ledger Squared in Blood. I like a happy redeemed Regina with the right pacing and the right amount of fluff to rot your teeth but also make you like it. This is a well known fic, a revisit is in order. Especially after today.

Runner ups to this IMO are (1) Battle Towards Surrender, Fictorium knows how to  cap an ending without losing momentum, this post curse fic is that. (2) Educating Emma by Bond Jane is also a well done slow build up at a fitting time (might also want to see her other take on a post curse fic Let's Talk About Sex. (3) There Will Come a Time, You’ll See, When Love Won’t Break Your Heart by intheinkpot will hurt first before you get to the happy but it is so worth it.

WIPs that you need to start reading are The Secret's in the Telling, damn funny every chapter. Deus Ex Machina awesome action sequence and wonderful SQ UST and interlude. The Price of Magic on the angsty side but I for one am so amped to see a darker Emma this time, that someone good is just as capable (if Heartsways will be taking it there). And of course a retelling of the curse breaking, Dreamscape by B of Ericaland who will likely break us soon enough with her own version of it.

And of course, classics -- Daughters Will Love Like You Do by Writetherest, Forego the Parable Seek the Light by BrokenSocialContract, Not a Fairytale Romance by Seriousfic, These Aren't the Happy Endings We're Looking For by Exquisitliltart

And others that needs more buzz because these pieces are unearthed treasures -- The Overturn of Evil by Dimick, She Says Nothing by TheWhiteStars, Counting the Winters by Magicmumu, And Our House Will Be Called Evil Bitch Cottage by intrikate88, Savior's Shield by Aurorstorm, The Color of Proof by HerBeSpokeCurse, In The Flicker (WIP. Damn good WIP) by 13pens, Regina Mills: The Man Who Sold the World by KillerElephants

now these two here are terribly sad and the other quite dark, but i need to insert it because personally, these are long standing faves. Its first chapter is quite gripping for the pain it intended to give, I Let Her Lie by QueenNan. And the second, the to be concluded Paint it Black by Wily_One24. [This fic is that good that my friend who doesn't even watch OUAT reads it.]

[This has a common theme which is majorly Post Curse, but I need to insert these two in the classics. This first one is the right kind of ache, that is advernturepants' undaunted talent -- Land and the Sea, Rivers and Roads, Honey and the Moon and the second by Chilly Flame, This Great Distance, that gave me the feels that I first felt when I started shipping SQ through BSC's fic.]

And good old fashion smut -- Prison Visit by KillerElephants, A Ride on a Horseback by LZClotho

Now i'll be off to my little corner because I haven't yet recovered from this episode. Nor do I think the writers have. so i will read their previous work to tide over the bad.

i like cuz | I really haven't had the chance to read on anything since Tuesday. This is one of the few I have read and I happen to like fics that are post curse. Entertaining so far and i like the author breaking away and pointing out 'now you have you're happy ending, now what'. A work in progress but is definitely off to a good start.
